This was the perfect "home base" for us to explore the DC area! The cottage was pristine,with everything we could possible need, and our hosts were great to communicate with. We only used our car 3 times in 5 days as the metro into DC was only a 12 minute walk. Our experience was excellent in every way

We absolutely loved our stay here. "Cottage" is the perfect description, as it's basically your own private home. The owners clearly care about the experience of their guests. They have included every amenity you could imagine, and then some! We were visiting our daughter in the area, so the location was perfect for us. Parking on the street was free and easy. We had clear instructions with every aspect needed for the property. The location was quiet, peaceful, and so well equipped. We would gladly stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful property!

We really wish we could have stayed longer! We had a great time, they were very welcoming and the property had so many great amenities. They even had things we weren't expecting like some snacks and some extra bathroom essentials in case you left yours at home. Even though the snow and ice was rough during our stay they shoveled out a nice path to the cottage and dug out a perfect spot to park. We really loved it here and are definitely thinking about coming back in better weather.

WOW! Our stay at this beautiful and well-appointed backyard cottage was absolute perfection. The neighborhood in which this little gem is located is clean, safe, quaint and picturesque! We're "clean freaks" and I have to say, the home was spotless even by our standards! Our gracious hosts provided every single necessity (and then some). They were also incredibly communicative which made the entire process seamless from start to finish. We were also blown away by the incredible local restaurant recommendations provided...it's almost as if they knew us and knew our food tendencies! It was a genuine home away from home—we can’t wait to return!

The house was well thought out, perfectly equipped and maintained. Everything we needed and more was in place. It really could not have been any nicer. There was a bit of snow and the host was diligent in clearing it from the pathways and porch. We had a wonderful stay.

Everything was excellent, start to finish. The owner was quick responding, the space was well cared for and had everything we needed. In fact, for our needs, visiting our kids, it had more than we could use. We will probably use the rental again when we come down to visit kids and try to take advantage of the outdoor amenities. This cottage is a jewel box. Autumn was definitely the time to visit. Geneva and Peter have thought of every creature comfort you might want, whether it's what you want or what you might have forgotten. The location is ideal. I noticed in the guest book how many people wanted to move there. We are two more. If we need to return to the area, we will definitely stay here again. Quiet. Private. Airy. Cozy. A true oasis from the world.

the cottage was beautiful, in a quiet area, easy walking to the Metro station. It was spacious, had a very well equipped kitchen, great TV (loved that we had access to networks and live TV). The laundry supplies, toiletries, kitchen essentials, and other small items enhanced our stay. We loved the free and easy parking out front. We liked the facility so well, we have already booked another week next spring, hopefully when the government reopens, so we can enjoy the activities we missed out on this time.

We were in town for the Marine Corps Marathon and this was a perfect location. A super quiet neighborhood for a good nights rest and just a short walk/drive to multiple restaurants and night life to celebrate after the race. A short Uber ride to the start and finish of the race. Very clean, great amenities and highly recommend to anyone visiting DC.
