"Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so...

"As this was a relevantly new establishment we weren't sure what to expect, but we had a fabulous stay. Everything was high class, from the coffee bags - not instant, to the shower/shampoo/conditioner. "Had a fantastic one night stay here. Everything was clean, and easy to find & use. There was some minor confusion regarding the listed check-in time, but this was very easily resolved by the proactive communication from the hosts. Would definitely stay again, and for longer!"

"My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Cygnet Cottage, using it as a base to explore the Northumberland Coast and local area.This particular accommodation is ideal for a couple. The living area is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen equipment all worked fine and there was an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, and tools. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable with a decent, electric, shower. Upstairs was the bedroom with good storage facilities and a comfortable double bed...
