"We had a very pleasant stay. The room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. Air condition is strong. Staff were very helpful. Amenities are all there. We enjoyed the free ramen we had for breakfast to start the day. The lounge was nice and cozy. Location is very convenient as it’s just a 2 minute walk from Wangsimni station. We would come back here if we visit Seoul again."

"There is a big sign outside that says ‘Grand Opening’. Not a chance, way too many things look worn and poorly maintained inside the room.
It was also clear that the housekeeping crew was doing the bare minimum. Twice they left behind dirty towels (ones they had used, not mine) and my sheets were not changed once in the entire 6 night stay (no signage indicating they have eco-friendly policies).

The place is a little ways from the station, so be prepared to walk around 10 minutes to the nearest subway station.
Checkin was relatively straightforward- you can use a kiosk to check in/out yourself, and many languages (English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese) are supported. There is also a multi-language currency conversion machine available in the lobby. Staff are okay and available at the front desk.

"Great stay at the Glad Mapo hotel in Seoul. Hotel is ideally located, right next to Gongdoek station which made travelling around Seoul very easy. Room was perfect with walk in shower and plenty of space. Breakfast was good especially the Asian selection. Highly recommend a stay here, very reasonable and also easy getting to airport, local stopping train taking about an hour directly from Gongdoek station."

"I gave 5 stars! I would come back again next time. Much better than Lotte City Hotel Mapo that we stayed at earlier. The two bedrooms and living room were clean and spacious. "The rooms were super clean and spacious. I loved the bathroom setup with walk in showers with tub inside, both a rain shower head and handheld shower heads, and bidet. The hotel is a little out of the way but also convenient to a train station and in a really quiet and safe neighborhood. I would definitely come back again and pick this over pricier, smaller hotels that might be more centrally located. Super worth it. Thank you!"
