Growlers Creek is nestled amongst the natural beauty of Wandiligong, where you can simply relax at home or explore the beautiful heritage valley and its history, including the Wandi Wander, Royal Bridge Walk and The Diggings Walk with its Chinese Swing Bridge giving a hint to some of the locals of old.

Visit the largest apple orchard in the southern hemisphere, historic buildings and the Alpine Park, or visit in Autumn when The Wandiligong Nut Festival is on celebrating the nut harvest season with cooking, comedy and culture.

The local Mountain View hotel (otherwise known as the "Wandi Pub") is a short stroll away and offers regular live music & jam nights in a fantastic beer garden surrounded by the nearby mountains and the local stores have plenty of mementos.

Bring your bike to enjoy the scenery at your own pace.

With plenty of beautiful spots to swim, fish, ride, climb & fly you will find plenty to keep you entertained in Wandiligong!

Just a short drive (5 minutes) is the heart of Bright with its fabulous restaurants & cafes, numerous attractions & activities.

This property is managed on behalf of the owner by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group).

Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed with ensuite and TV
Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed and TV
Bedroom 3 - 1 x Bunks, 1 x Single Bed, 1 x Trundle Bed and TV

All bedding and bath towels are provided.

KITCHEN & DINING
The modern open plan configuration of the kitchen/dining/lounge enables everyone to be together. With electric cooking, fridge, dishwasher and microwave provided you will feel right at home. The 6 seater dining table is strategically placed next to the access to the under cover deck where entertaining is a breeze thanks to the gas BBQ.

LOUNGE & ENTERTAINMENT
Relax in the comfy lounges and watch a DVD (BYO dvd's) or listen to some music on the micro HI-FI system and digital radio plus stereo.

Take the time to reconnect with family and friends as WIFI is not available and telephone reception intermittent.

HEATING & COOLING
A reverse cycle system in the lounge heats and cools as necessary and the additional combustion fireplace is perfect during the colder months. All bedrooms have heaters and electric blankets on the beds. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations. (Wood supply from April to September).

Ensuite: Shower, toilet and vanity
Main Bathroom: Hairdryer, spa bath, separate shower and vanity. The toilet is separate.

OUTDOORS
Paved BBQ area, decked entertainment area and direct access to Growlers Creek.

Awesome house on a stunning piece of land with a running creek on the property that can be seen and heard from the gorgeous deck and the lounge room with huge windows. Just beautiful. Wandiligong is the best.

Beautiful Wandi Stay

This is a lovely house in Wandi. It is on a a quiet stress off the main road with Growler's creek running through the backyard. The creek isn't deep but is great for paddling in hot weather. The view is beautiful. The bedrooms are spacious. For younger kids there were a range of toys and games.

There is usually a quiet babbling brook the grandchildren can play in, but this time it was a raging torrent, a different but fascinating experience. It is a lovely quiet base to explore the Wandi valley and visit the places my relatives settled in the 1860s

Perfect weekend, well definitely be back

We loved our weekend in this house. It was very spacious and comfortable. Clean and well appointed and a beautiful outlook from the living room out onto a lawn and creek at the end of the bedroom. The only minor critique is there seemed to be very low water pressure, especially hot water, so the spa bath took a very long time to fill. But in the scheme of things wet found this minor and it wouldn't stop us staying again.

However bbq filthy which we spent considerable time cleaning, no where to stand bottles in fridge, front room tv doesn’t work, bottom bunk bed lumpy and extremely uncomfortable.Bbq gas bottle not full, had to replace batteries in tv remote, kitchen stovetop needs instructions (couldn’t we code as there is no service). Windows with cobwebs.Beautiful house but money needs to be spent To bring it up to scratch. Was disappointing as last time we stayed there iit was better

Warm and cosy with the fire going which created a lovely atmosphere.Our only comments are in regards to kitchen, cooking and BBQ facilities. The stove was difficult to work out (no instructions); the BBQ wasn't great; the pots,pans,crockery,glasses,utensils etc could all do with a re-vamp and tidy up and present a lot better. However, we loved our holiday and would book again.

I stayed in the house with seven other of my college friends and we had a blast. The kitchen was amazing! We cooked many meals together. We watched movies on the TV and the couches were so spacious! The bedroom and bathroom spaces were great, with modern facilities and heaters in each room. The hanging space for clothes was very spacious. I have nothing bad to say about this place!

Reviewer Comments: Lovely cottage style house.Did worried us that there was no wifi and we had no Telstra internet inside the house with a creek at the back of the place. Not recommended for small children to stay. Optus had reception which was strange. The curtain pullers needed to be attached to the walls due to regulations (again not safe for young kids) The neighbours dog was a nice surprise to see at the back door one morning, the kids had a blast with her. Was great to see wildlife at the back of the place.

Reviewer Comments: The house was great with a nice kitchen, living area and bathrooms. The issue was with there being no internet- no wifi available- and no network showing up for Telstra and Vodafone inside the house. I think it would be essential for this house to have wifi installed- as we couldn’t even Netflix for the kids to keep them occupied. As there was no signal for our mobile phones - hotspots did not work either. There were so many TVs in the property it’s a pity we couldn’t really make use of any of take calls we had to step out of the house- where 1 5G came up when outside. The other issue was the hot water- it runs out after a two or three of us have our showers and not long showers either. Without the above being fixed I would not recommend this place.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was extremely disappointing to see how much of the property has been allowed to not be kept up to what I would call a reasonable standard.Below is a list of items that either require maintenance, repair or better attention.1. Fridge: Missing shelves in the door. Had to shove everything on the main shelves of the fridge which was not ideal when you have bottles2. Dishwasher: No handle to be able to open the dishwasher. Very difficult to open. Also the cutlery basket of which half is unusable because the base is broken and the cutlery was just falling through3. Floors: Were dirty and we had the vacuum when we arrived4. Toilet: In bathroom from bedroom of the lounge room was dirty when we arrived 5. Shower: In the bathroom from the bedroom of the lounge room leaks. Causing pooling of water on the floor near the wall. Door side6. Front bedroom. Noisy fan when turned on.7. Stove top coffee maker: Found in Pantry. Still had ground coffee in it with mould. Had not been cleaned. We did not use it.8. Cobwebs everywhere9. BBQ: The BBQ does not work very well. I have the same BBQ at home. So I know how to use it. The one on the property does not heat up properly and therefore takes forever to cook anything.10. Sliding door from decking: Very difficult to open and close.11. Couches in Lounge room: Stains on it everywhere. Need a good clean.12. Ceiling fans: All need a good clean. Thick dust on them

Wandiligong gem

We loved our time in this property and were very grateful for such a comfortable home and garden that could fit our large family, - Although limited hot water made showers for 7 people hard. It was a terrific home base from which we could travel to and from snow fields and enjoy beautiful Wandiliging and Bright
