Peaceful Retreat, OBX Village Studio

A hidden gem, the quiet fishing village of Wanchese is tucked away on the southernmost tip of Roanoke Island. While conveniently located minutes from Jennette's Pier, the Roanoke Island Aquarium, and the Elizabethan Gardens, the Village offers visitors a truly authentic Outer Banks experience. Be sure to visit one of the Seafood Markets in Wanchese or grab at hot meal from one of the local eateries.

Built in 2020 natural light pours into the 500 sq.ft. coastal studio through oversized windows creating a bright, airy atmosphere. Designed for form and function, the thoughtfully appointed studio encompasses the entire second floor of a stand alone garage. It features a full kitchen with dishwasher, full bath, and stackable washer/dryer. Additionally, a starter kit is provided to guests with dishwasher tablets, a small tide detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper in addition to a few small snacks. In the pantry you’ll find a variety of K-cups and single brew coffee machine along with a toaster.

Throughout the studio guests have access to highspeed internet, the bedroom offers guests a restful nights sleep on a queen size Serta mattress with 100% cotton linens, the living room features a smart TV(guests are responsible for logging in/out of their own apps) and a breakfast table with seating for two. The studio design makes this an ideal space for a couples getaway.

Bring your essentials and let us take care of the rest, bed sheets, bath towels, beach towels, and two beach chairs are provided for your convenience. Guests will enjoy their own driveway with off-road parking for two vehicles and access the studio by private stairs and coded keyless entry.

This was a cute and comfortable spot for a long weekend. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. The studio is a very short drive to restaurants, the beach, and the nearby wildlife refuges. I’ll definitely look to stay here again the next time I come to obx!

Peaceful and clean!

Can’t say enough about how we enjoyed our stay. I’m so happy we opted for this suite over a hotel. It was nice to be away from the crowded, busy, touristy areas. We felt so removed, yet were mere minutes away from beaches, shopping, dining. The suite was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed (and then some). The beachy/cottage decor is charming. It was lovely and quiet at night. Bed was very comfy and checking in was a breeze. My only warning/consideration is that you do have to climb a pretty tall set of stairs to reach the suite. This was not a problem for us, but want to make sure anyone looking into staying here is aware.Host Tyler was very responsive and left us a lot of helpful info.We will return here!

OBX Weekend

We were looking for a place to stay close to the Outer Banks, but still quiet. This studio apartment fit the bill just fine. It is 10-15 mins from the action, in an out-of-the-way neighborhood in Wanchese. The apartment was thoughtfully arranged, clean, and quiet. Plus, there's chickens next door to visit!

The OBX Village Studio was a perfect size and a convenient location for my visit on the Outer Banks. It was thoughtfully stocked with every item that I needed, which allowed me to focus on my visit rather than making runs to a store. Tyler was very prompt in replying to my messages. Fabulous

This was the perfect spot for us to stay while attending our granddaughter's wedding. Very quiet and peaceful little community. The apartment had every comfort we could need. The layout of the apartment was so cozy, clean and relaxing. It was only 6 miles across the bridge to wedding and 10 miles to the reception. Just perfect. Thank you
