- This single-story cabin requires 1 step for access
- No life jackets are provided. Parents should bring life jackets for their children if they are going to be fishing, swimming and spending time on the dock
- Your safety matters. This property features 1 external security camera. This camera is outward facing and does not look into any interior spaces. The camera is located on the front corner of the home facing the main entrance and driveway. It records video and audio when motion is detected and will be turned on during your stay
- Per septic tank guidelines, only a maximum of 4 people are allowed on this property. That includes anyone not staying on the property, that will be visiting and using the restroom facilities
- Filtered water is not provided. Tap water is potable, however, it is recommended and many prefer to bring their own drinking water
- Firewood is not provided. Please only purchase and use local firewood to help prevent spreading tree diseases
- Public boat access is on the 6th crow wing, with channel accessing 5th crow wing

Nice little cabin

This was a nice little cabin to stay at. The kitchen faucet was leaky, but otherwise everything was fine. It was rainy during our stay, so we didn't get as much out of it as we hoped. Still a cool experience.

Summer get away

What a peaceful stay! The cabin was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the lake, was so calming. And the loons, what a beautiful song! We even caught fish :) The only drawback was the bathroom barn door, our son got stuck twice. Think he pulled it too far and it got hung up. We had a good laugh.

Biking

We enjoyed the location of this property. Us girls wanted to bike the beautiful Heartland Trail. This location provided easy access to trail. The cabin was clean, well equipped. The beds very comfortable. We called the owners once for new batteries for TV. They came quickly!! Thank you.

Weekend Getaway

The property was nice and we would have given higher marks if the communication with the management people would have been better. My mom passed away while we were there and we had to leave the next morning. I messaged the situation through Vrbo right away Saturday morning to let them know that we were leaving early and to this day have still not heard about anything. Super disappointing!! Other than that, the only complaint that we had was that all the outside chairs were not clean for us to use. I'm there to relax not have to clean something to use before I can.

Perfect place for dog and me

I had a work meeting in Walker on Saturday. My dog, Hank and I came up for the weekend. We could not have asked for better weather. We spent our free time sitting by the lake with Hank playing fetch off the dock. We will definitely be back some day.

Great cabin!

Cabin was clean inside, had everything you need, shower was smaller than expected however didn't matter we had a wonderful time. Location was perfect close to town but not to close so you have your quiet and privacy. Beautiful views from the deck, that's where we spent most of our time was on the deck! Great cabin for us 2 adults and our fur baby had plenty of room. So awesome to find a pet friendly place that was so clean! They even had water toys, board games, and movies for you! Bed was soooo comfortable was very easy to want to sleep in! Hiked Waboose trail that was nearby was amazingly pretty, Park Rapids was close to get groceries and little shops. Only thing would have been nice to have a couple more lamps in main area got a little dark haha otherwise this is an amazing cabin would definitely recommend this to others! Thank you guys so much and thanks for the chocolates they were delicious!

Beautiful place to relax and recharge.

What a cozy cabin on a lake! We enjoyed lounging and watching the trumpeter swans and geese who gathered at the back of the cabin on the lake. Sun sets were beautiful, the stars were insane, the space was just enough cabin touches to be cozy and inviting. Fully stocked kitchen and ample space for larger groups. Bonus is the pet friendly aspect, many fur parents love traveling with there pups. Both Mike and Steph were really great communicators we would definitely come back!

Charming Cabin

Honest review

Wanted to take a week after Christmas to get away before the new year and hopefully do a little ice fishing. Overall the property is a Northwoods cabin not a 5 star resort, this was expected and we were perfectly fine with this. There are some things the cabin could improve upon that would not be a big burden to the owners, interior doors that don’t have 3 inches of space underneath, a deck that is safe for kids (the railing is not child appropriate), the bathroom could use revamping( shower and rusty sink). The water contains a ton of iron so if you can’t stomach the taste, bring your own and it’s very hard water so bring lotion! But those suggestions would make this property perfect. So don’t let those few negatives convince you from not booking. We would stay here again in heart beat.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

This cozy cabin was a great getaway for our family plus pup. We wanted a cabin that was within a reasonable driving distance to Itasca State Park and this fit the bill! Property owners were easy to contact and cabin was clean, well stocked with board games/movies/anything you may need in the kitchen. Beautiful lake view as well! We enjoyed our stay here and would come again!

Cozy Cabin

We spent Labor Day 2021 here with our adult son. I would say 3 adults is max. Nicely redecorated with great kitchen and the lake is beautiful. Plenty to do in the area.
