"Great location near nice beach/park within minutes from downtown Hilo. Awesome manager communication with excellent local recommendations. Easy access, parking, and key elevator for secure building access. Only negative is there were many small bugs probably due to the closeness of the park and very loud traffic noise due to being on a main street."

"My husband and I stayed in this condo for 9 days and enjoyed every minute. First of all, Salt Water Vacations staff were wonderful. We had a local liaison introduce herself and was present for any concerns we might have had. They bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The condo was very comfortable and inviting. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. We met many wonderful people there at Mauna Loa Shores. Big shout out to Mr. Gomez, the building...

"We highly recommend this property. Very relaxing location right by the ocean, you can hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. Beautiful view of the sunrise from the upstairs or downstairs porches.This house is on the edge of a sea cliff so does not have direct access to the waterfront or a beach. Nonetheless it is an excellent base for exploring The Big Island. Quick drive of 5 minutes into the heart of Hilo. Approximately hour and a half to Kona/West coast depending on where you are...

"Location was fantastic. Beach was so beautiful and we loved being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Easy drive into downtown Hilo. Property itself was as advertised and had everything we needed. The building is a bit run down, but the actual unit was nicely done. Property manager was very responsive. "

"The grounds were amazing. We were allowed to pick our own fruits like papaya, sapote, banana, mountain apple, avocado, cacao, etc. The property was clean and cozy, and the outdoor shower was very nice. Only downside was a couple of loud coqui frogs at night, and it was a bit of a drive to Hilo."

"We stayed one night and couldn’t be happier with the room and location. The property was exactly as described. Communication and check-in with the host was fast and efficient. I needed to go to the ER early the next morning and the host confirmed that we found the right hospital and not an immediate care or children’s hospital. We would’ve been happy to stay longer and enjoy the other amenities but it just didn’t work this time. We will definitely look for this room next time when we are back in...
