     De las 26 encantadoras cabañas dúplex en la cerrada colonia de Mokuleia Beach, solo cinco se enfrentan al océano; ¡Y este es uno de ellos! Te despertarás con el sonido de las olas, te sentarás en tu lanai abierto y no ver��s más que agua de color aguamarina y el cielo de la mañana. El océano está justo frente a ti, a pocos pasos de distancia. Este bungalow de playa fue diseñado en la década de 1960 y ha sido decorado por un artista nacido en Hawai, cuyas pinturas del océano, el cielo y el paisaje de Mokuleia cuelgan de las paredes..
    - LA PLAYA -
     El Sand Dollar Cottage ofrece una vista impresionante de una playa que se extiende por millas en cualquier dirección; Ideal para nadar, caminar y bucear en el arrecife de coral. ¡Rara vez ves a alguien y tienes agua caliente, día y noche!
    - EL VECINDARIO -
     Un viaje de doce minutos por un camino rural lo llevará a la famosa ciudad de surf de Haleiwa; donde puede cenar en uno de los muchos restaurantes y comprar ropa, arte local, raspado de hielo y pescado fresco, filetes y productos. The Colony tiene una hermosa piscina solo para huéspedes y cinco minutos por la carretera hacia Ka’ena Point, donde se puede practicar kite surf y paracaidismo..
    - DE LOS PROPIETARIOS -
    La casa tiene más invitados de regreso que cualquier otro en nuestro inventario, pero después de años de calificaciones de 5 estrellas, recientemente recibió algunas críticas críticas. Los propietarios han tomado estos para el corazón y han abordado todos los problemas de mantenimiento en la casa. A continuación hay una palabra de los propietarios:

    Aloha a todos nuestros huéspedes de toda la vida. Quiero que sepas que pasamos un par de semanas en marzo renovación y restauración 13B. Se necesitaba. Encontrará una nueva cocina: mostradores, armarios, fregadero, grifo y una nueva estufa de tapa de vidrio. También hemos pintado la unidad, poner en un nuevo y más alto vanidad, fregadero y grifo, y el nuevo alumbrado del terreno. Hemos restaurado todas las persianas y celosías que lo necesitaban, e incluso agregaron una más potente para una mejor módem WiFi. Dejamos la vista del océano y los atardeceres solos, ya que nadie podía mejorar eso.

    Fumar estrictamente prohibido en Mokuleia Beach Colonies, tanto en interiores como en exteriores. El estado de Hawai prohíbe fumar en los parques públicos y en todas las playas. No hay áreas cerca de la unidad designada para fumadores. Estas prohibiciones incluyen los cigarrillos electrónicos.

Charming beach property. Trade winds really help keep this property cool. If they are not blowing it can be a little warm in the summer. Very cute for a small family. Right on the water catch the sunset in the evenings. Got to see plenty of sea life right at the waters edge.

We were unable to stay at the location due to the evacuation orders given for the recent flooding, however, despite last minute changes given the weather, the host was incredibly responsive and quick to communicate with us.

Great location on the water. Needs updating. All beds terribly uncomfortable. Appliances poor. Kitchen has bare minimums and a mishmash of dishes and glasses.

We stayed here 5 years ago so knew what to expect. Nothing much has changed (it could easily use some updating… newer cookware for on). But with the location and neighbors it is great and we will probably return. Highly recommend it.

Great place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a lovely and relaxing place to stay. The view is beautiful. It is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get groceries and see sights. It is an older property but it is well maintained. I only have 2 complaints: 1. the bushes out front were a little tall, so when sitting outside it is hard to see the ocean. Please trim them. 2. The tv remote is ridiculous. The arrows do not go in the right direction and it is stressful trying to figure it out. The right arrow goes down, up goes right, etc. You need a new remote.

Amazing Place

Excellent place!!! Celebrated our 10 year Anniversary. Place was very clean, area was quiet and relaxing. Would 100% come here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The space was perfect for a base to go snorkling, explore the North Shore and relaxing in the evenings. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was just right. We really enjoyed the proximity to the water. Sunsets were so beautiful. I would stay here again.

Beach at the doorstep

Whilst the property is aging a little, it is perfect for those who wish to get away to a peaceful and quiet location but still enjoy the sight and sounds of the ocean.The property has everything you need and we absolutely loved it!

The location was excellent. The property was not very well maintained and nighttime lighting was terrible. Our flight did not arrive until 9:30 PM and by the time we arrived at the property, close to midnight, had a very difficult time finding the unit. There was no lighting showing the building numbers, and pathway lighting was at a bare minimum. We were walking up and down pathways trying to find numbers, some of which were hidden by shrubs. Knowing the arrival time, as it had been discussed with staff, someone should’ve left a light on, at least on the outside of the building to allow easy access. Some of the windows did not function and some were missing slats, since they were jalousie style. The mattresses were awful. The two twin beds felt as though we were sleeping on springs and had no padding. The last disappointing feature was the cockroaches in our luggage, and bed, which were found the day of our departure. The unit is in desperate need of a fresh, and make sure you bring an extra fan with you, because the one floor fan besides the single ceiling fan above the couch, was not enough to move the air in this unit.

Nice ocean side cottage

We really enjoyed being where we could relax. The cottage and the surrounding area was perfect, getting us away from traffic but leaving us easy access to the things we wanted to do. We would definitely rent again if we make it back.

Perfect beach front cottage. Only thing I missed was an access to the beach for walking. The cottage was clean, everything in place. The T.V.was a bit challenging, but with help, we figured it out. All in all, it was the perfect North Shore exerience.

Beautiful and perfect!

I’ve been coming to Hawai’i for 40 years (about 15 trips). This was my favorite stay. The property was outstanding, the community was lovely and the location was perfect. The cottage was even better and more roomy than in the photos and exceeded my already high expectations. It was terrific and I highly recommend it!

Overall this property was perfect for us. The views were excellent, it was so quiet and had all the things we needed for a few nights. We didn't have any bugs inside, but we did have a few gecko friends roaming around. They didn't bother us at all. We were able to walk the beach in the mornings, but the tide was too high/waves too big to get down to it in the afternoons. Fine for us since we spent most of our days at other beaches. The pictures really need to be updated to show how it currently is. All the palm trees in front by the water are gone, the landscaping around the patio is too tall to see the ocean when sitting at the table and the bathroom shower is different. The showerhead was like a jet, so we ended up showering the outdoor one the full time were there (such a nice treat!). The place could use a deep clear and some maintenance. Some of the window slats were broke/missing, so even if we wanted to close them all the way, we couldn't. Reminder - there is no AC. We would still come back again!
