"We stayed with family friends for the weekend and had a great time. I highly recommend using the mule to drive around the property to see all the wildlife. We saw plenty of deer. The space itself had plenty of room. There is an air mattress available, but if you have more than 6, it’s a good idea to bring another air mattress. It’s far from any convenience stores or grocery stores (which is how we wanted it), but come with everything that you will need in advance. "

"The property was beautiful. The adults and kids really enjoyed the pool and lots of mule rides. We saw some amazing wildlife during our stay. "

"We celebrated 50th birthday at Trails End Ranch and had an absolutely amazing time. The property is beautiful and so many amenities that everyone, teen, young adults and older adults all enjoyed. Walmart was only about 30-40 minutes away so able to grab needed items to cook on one of the many grills and in the completely furnished kitchens. Highly recommend staying at the ranch for your next friend/family gathering. We will definitely be back!!! "

"We brough 5 kids and 2 dogs to the Hickory House and had a fabulous time! The home is perfect, exactly what you need for a stay. We were sampling as many BBQ places as we could. Great walking distance to downtown Lockhart. Short drive to places that are too far to walk in the summer. Owners were fabulous. Very easy check in and check out. No onerous requirements for checking out. We will look forward to doing it again. "

"This is the second year my closest friends and I gather at The Yellow Rose in Shulenburg, and I can't say enough about how WONDERFUL the entire trip went. The rooms are huge, there's plenty of beds and even extra space if we needed (we don't, but it's nice to have the room). We stayed in the beautiful pool enjoying the scenery most of the day. We are already planning on returning next year!! We were all wondering if the cake would be there again, and we got in to a debate about which one was...

"This gem is tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood. The host is a great communicator and we felt like we were living our best life! Swimming in the private pool at sunset, every amenity and then some at our disposal and restful sleep. We enjoyed great proximity to museums, Austin and the cute town of Smithville. Would return for sure!"
