"Very private location. Even waterfront is very personal area with a short ride to lake by boat. Good areas to explore by kayak too. Camp is comfortable and clean. Local town has low quality grocery and the Walmart has no grocery at all. It is ok for a meal if you forget something but if you want to cook nice I suggest to bring food with you. Highly recommend property and owner is great at quick response if needed!"

"We had no problems getting our boats through. Kids fished in kayaks and we could see them and not worry. Its quiet and peaceful. If you are planning on having more than 4 or 5 plan during a season people can sleep on the large enclosed porch. Two of our bunch slept out there and we had no problems. Screen doors lock. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again."

"We enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The location is beautiful, and the house is lovely."

"Very nice. Loved the carport (it kept us dry when loading up), the covered back patio with fishing pole stands, and the overall interior decor. The bed was very comfy. Being that this was Memorial day weekend, the boat traffic was heavy and loud, but inside it was noticibly quieter. The only drawbacks were having only one light in the bedroom and no nightstands. Having a side lamp next to the couch would be nice for reading. "

"My friend and I stayed for two nights. There are other reviews complaining about the sub flooring in the house and they are correct. There are soft spots in the floor but it’s still better and cheaper than a hotel. My friend and I both have mobility issues and the front porch could use a rail to help with entering the house. I would still stay here again over a hotel. The coffee bar was spot on. "

"The place was well maintained and very clean. The location was ideal for anyone looking to kayak a little before hitting the main lake. Beautiful property and awesome house! Will be coming back!"

"Ohmygoodness! If you want to stay in the bayou, THIS is the place! Weve never been to a bayou before, and the noght noises were amazing! We hoped for an aligator, but we only saw bubbles...and we were still thrilled!"

"Mary & Bill were lovely to work with and very friendly - they gave us great recommendations for canoeing and their location is excellent if you want to access the State Park or the Wildlife Refuge. "

"A great place to stay with good accommodations. A great town with plenty to do as well! I highly recommend staying here."

"This property owner checked ALL the boxes! The property was renovated and decorated beautifully and included special touches that preserved the history. We will most definitely be our preferred stay when we return to Jefferson!"

"Main level of home has lots of space to gather and talk. All bedrooms and full bathrooms are upstairs. Sofabed available on main level along with half bath. Everything was as expected. Thank you."
