"We use the beach cottage to access the provincial park as well as the long point birding observatory. The park is about a five minute walk straight down Erie street while the LPBO banding station is located just around the corner along big cut Road.Beach access is also about five minutes down Erie street and down a short cul-de-sac.The cottage was very well cared for and rustic, which is our preference. "My close friends and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. There were enough beds for our group and the facilities ensured we enjoyed home comforts while also living up to promises of quiet and solitude in nature. We had long chats by the fire by night and hiked in the surrounding Backus conservation area by day. We will definitely be back in the future! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The location can't be beat! The condo was spotless and well cared for with a lovely mix of past and present. The kitchen was GREAT and we prepared a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner in it. The host was responsive, friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend this property. "

"This property is clean and quiet but not beachside. You can walk to beach in 15 to 20 minutes on a sidewalk, or drive 5 minutes. Home is located in nice neighborhood with a great dog park right across the road. Port Dover is a lovely and friendly town. Host is accessible for questions. "

"Worked just fine. Problems were … no soap in the bathrooms no ice in the ice box. No ice trays for the price of the unit. I feel that they should have a few more little amenities. Otherwise it was fine."

"Beautiful property to have a large family gathering! The host has covered everything. Lots of activities to do! Quality decor and furniture. The games room is amazing! And so is the outdoor space. Inside is cozy but spacious! The owner Alvina is lovely and Gina the property manager is thorough and helpful. I can’t wait to go back again next year. I highly recommend this place!"

"We stayed at Life’s a Beach Oct 3-5. The check in was easy and our host was extremely easy to communicate with very friendly. The condo is immaculate. Clean, great decor and kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. We would highly recommend staying here. The balcony is covered and has beautiful Muskoka chairs. The view is great and a great location to bird watch, go to the beach or wine tasting. We would give 6 stars if we could. "
