"Our room was great - good size and very clean. We had a fabulous view from our balcony across to the port of Amalfi. Breakfast was on the first floor balcony which also had a great view over the beach and port. Breakfast was not a buffet as we have been used to so options were limited but the coffee and staff were great! The location of the hotel was so central to everything in Amalfi town - the cathedral, restaurants, the bus and ferry stations. Highly recommend Hotel Residence in Amalfi. "

"This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water. "This hotel was amazing. It’s so close to the port if you are taking the ferry in and still close to all the shops and restaurants. The staff were attentive and super friendly! We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and when we got there they offered us a complimentary bottle of champagne. If you are staying in Amalfi, I highly recommend this place! "

"What a find this was! The staff was beyond friendly. Made you feel so welcome and so very helpful. Location was prime! Tucked in but also in the middle of everything and just a few steps to the beach. Breakfast was great. I highly recommend this place:)"
