"This property is perfect for those of us who want slightly more than a local hotel offers (privacy, kitchen, pets, outdoor space, etc). After reading the reviews, my wife and I booked 2 nights with our small dog over the 4th of July weekend 2025. Everything was great and the price was very reasonable. The king bed is comfortable. "We loved the 2 room cabin.The location allowed access to Salida and Cotopaxi along with longer trips to Leadville and Canon city/Royal Gorge.We used the full kitchen daily and enjoyed the intermittent stream in the mornings. We saw a doe and 2 fawns in the yard. Clean and felt like new construction.Warm evenings which require fans to cool off. Crisp mornings we fantastic. Started off with coffee and away for local adventures. We enjoyed the fire ring for marshmallows and brats and hot dogs...

"Great location and plenty of room. But what impressed me the most was the integrity of the team overseeing this property. I inadvertently left my wedding bands behind (they had gotten pushed out of sight) and I didn’t realize it until we were some hours away. I panicked but each person I spoke to was so reassuring. And sure enough the cleaning team found my jewelry and later I received instructions for how to handle the return delivery. I am so grateful! "
