"Step out the door and you are in the middle of it all. Turn right and head toward S Mountain (awesome trails for hiking or biking), the Arkansas River (watch the rafters and surfers then take a stroll along the path, awesome shopping and restaurants. Turn immediately left for coffee and yoga!!! There is a Natural Grocer right across the street- so handy!The condo was small but well appointed. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well equipped to allow us to prep our dinners and breakfasts. The proximity to Monarch, Salida, and the river were ideal. The host, Charles, was attentive and friendly. We will be back!!"

"I brought my parents and 2 older sons for a getaway in the mountains. Everything was PERFECT. Excellent location, beautiful property and the host is an exceptional communicator. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain retreat. "

"We love this location and setup and have stayed here several times. Our only complaint this trip was the urine smell in both the front and back living areas. We all noticed it, even the four year old! "

"We really enjoyed this property. It had plenty of space for our crew, an ample kitchen to cook our meals as a family, and super close to Monarch where the skiing is great. We will be back. "

"The only demerit I have is: While, yes, the house is Minutes from the Great Sand Dunes, it's a good hour to get to the actual visitor center. The access they mention is to the back side of the dunes. Still amazing and let's you avoid tourist crowds, but my goal was to hike the tallest dunes which meant I had to drive to the other side. "
