Our stay was very disappointing. Check-in was at 4 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until 9 PM—five hours later—affecting several other guests too. The hotel has about a dozen rooms and was fully booked before a busy long weekend, but this delay was unacceptable. When we checked in at 7:06 PM, Trixie was rude and unhelpful, responding to questions with “I don’t know” and shoulder shrugs. She even said she couldn’t contact housekeeping because “they will get mad at me.”
There was no place for guests to wait inside, and many waited in cars or other rooms. We were among the first to arrive but the last to get a room. Our room had multiple small issues, and when we sought help, we got an automated message saying no one was available. Our stovetop stopped working, forcing us to cook in another room since there were no nearby food options.
After all this, the hotel refused even a one-hour late checkout after the long weekend. To add insult to injury, after checkout we were charged an unexplained extra cleaning fee. Trixie just gave us the general manager’s email with no explanation. We had cleaned the room, loaded the dishwasher (except a few dishes), and left garbage bagged. The only thing left out were cans beside the sink due to no recycling bin.
Overall, poor service, rude staff, and lack of communication made this stay very frustrating. I cannot recommend this tell.
