Elegant and eclectic Victoria house near bakery!

The Tolmie Inn is your friendly, inclusive home-away-from-home. This cozy, elegant space offers two bedrooms including queen and double beds, a full kitchen and a well-appointed living room. We have a picnic table for outdoor dining, and the best Italian bakery in town is only a stone’s throw away. We are 2SLGBT+ friendly, and are set up with everything you might need during your stay.

Accessibility information:
- There are 9 stairs up to the front door, and 5 stairs down to the back door of the house. (There is no ground level entrance.)
- Access to the bathroom is quite narrow (19" at the narrowest point, which is 29" from the floor).
- The stairs down to the basement are very narrow (23"), with walls on either side. It is possible to hold the walls on the way up/down, but there is no railing.

Cozy little home

We had a great stay- the house definitely feels lived in but by the end of the week felt like home. Location was awesome in a quiet neighborhood close to a park, and minutes from downtown.

The perfect place to reset and enjoy Victoria

My friends and I loved this place, super clean and cozy, with all the amenities we needed. The host was very kind and accommodating, and the location was ideal to pop in to downtown Victoria and explore.

Nice Home in a Great Location

Very comfortable home, well appointed kitchen, terrific communication with Jenn! We only used mainfloor part of the house. Our only complaint would be using the TV requires advanced engineering degree, but this is likely more of a sign of my age than of the tv, All in all this was a great spot, very convenient for touring around Victoria. Recommended

Great spot for the weekend

Just stayed for 3 nights. House is great, clean and good location. We arrived vis our ebikes on the Ferry from Port Angeles and rode all around the area. Kudos to Victoria for the amazing bike lanes! Nice shed to lock bikes up right out front, would have been great if there was access to power to charge the bikes. Good dog walking neighborhood. Store close by, side note the liquor stores are separate. Mattresses were a little hard/uncomfortable for me. Bathroom is small. Great lil Sonos speaker in the house, recommend downloading the Sonos app, connecting and then you can play what is on the app. Great ambiance music. Recommend walking down Fifth ave to eat at 5th St Bar and Grill, great patio and good for dogs to come. Pizza was delicious! Would not recommend riding down to downtown via Jackson, tons of homeless everywhere, instead -go left out of the house and hit the Galloping trail, much safer. Thank you Jenn for being such a great host!

This is truly a home that has been opened for guests to share. The fridge had many opened jars and containers of food, the drawers and shelves were filled with personal items, and the queer friendly listing meant many art pieces of naked women on the walls. We felt like we were intruding into someone's personal space but for those who don't mind these things, it's in a fantastic location, it has everything you need for a short or extended stay, and it was clean. The house has plenty of space and the host is quick to respond to messages.

Pretty rough not going to lie. If the beds were both changed i think it would be quite a bit better, there is no reason there should be a double in the basement (an awful one at that).Barely slept, pretty bad layout, fridge had a bunch of spoiled items/random cooked things. It all felt a bit lived in and could use a good deep clean.I think with a good clean and a couple of 300 ikea queens it would be closer to a 7/10. My poor pregnant wife had a terrible time, and my mother had a tough time with the staircase, but that is kind of unavoidable. The roof in the basement is 6ft. I suggest using the outside stairs (ownwr could improve them) - outside estethic was pretty poor. Good couches, pretty stocked house, price is right, but it needs some love for sure. Some strange artwork!

Lovely spot, had nice character and charm and everything we needed near by! Great spot to explore Victoria from. Jenn was lovely to work with and worked with us to extend our checkout which was very kind and generous AND she had the best restaurant recommendations!

Sweet little place with a great host

The house feels very well-loved. It has a real sense of personality, warmth, and whimsy. I appreciated my dealings with the host and how accommodating she was. It's cozy, as mentioned in the listing, but there's a very smart use of space (the kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals.) If you do have mobility issues, though, the bathroom is really tiny and the steps to the basement are quite narrow. But overall, I'd definitely recommend.

Perfect Location

The house is filled with funky and whimsical touches that made it a delightful place to stay. The location is close to bus stops, which made traveling around the city easy. It’s also within walking distance to restaurants, a mall, and a fabulous bakery.
