"Absolutely amazing experience at Rosemead House. It is like stepping into a magical wonderland. Beautiful property, building, rooms, restaurant. Delicious breakfast in an adorable setting. We weren't able to have dinner at the renowned restaurant, but will definitely go back again to enjoy that experience which is supposed to be sensational. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. HIGHLY recommend Rosemead and can't wait to visit again!!"

However, I found the reception desk staff unhelpful and rigid when I called on our arrival date to find out the likelihood of being able to check-in early (ie before 4pm). They refused to give me any idea as to when I might be able to check in later that afternoon and insisted that all I could do is show up at the hotel and find out once I got there. "We had a very nice 3-night stay at the Rialto. The staff were very helpful and any recommendations from them turned out to be great. We appreciated the higher floor room we received and closing the bathroom door kept it quiet at night (window insulation was not as good in the bathroom and outside noises drifted in). All in all we enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the restoration work involved in maintaining this hotel’s historic status."

"The windows in our room were so dirty that it was hard to see the view. The rug was thread bear and had a hole that had been poorly repaired with the rug pad showing through . The gardens may have been lovely in years gone by but clearly aren’t getting any attention now. For almost $400 Canadian/ night I would expect more attention to detail and care for this beautiful old home. I won’t return"
