Beautiful Moorish Town House with Private Pool, Roof Terrace, 3 beds/2 bathrooms

Casa Relinque is a caringly renovated pair of old Moorish houses a five-minute walk from the old town’s stunning centrepiece – the Plaza de Espana. A popular bustling meeting place with many Spanish bars and eateries. We are so proud of its position and that's one reason why we fell in love with it - there are very few houses with the vastness of space and a beautiful pool quietly hidden away behind its historic walls.
The Casa boasts three large bedrooms (two twins and one double), two bathrooms (one large family bathroom with bathtub between the two twin rooms and one en-suite shower for the double room), a large kitchen and dining area, a separate Moroccan style lounge and a central hallway. From here we have installed a beautiful wrought iron spiral staircase that leads up to the roof terrace. Believe it or not from this description, Casa Relinque is built all on one level - just a few steps up from the street. This means it's wonderful for families and groups because it's more easily accessible for all ages and everyone can enjoy the vast space this old house has to offer.
Casa Relinque has its own private roof terrace and courtyard with purpose-built covered area, which is perfect for cooling off, a spot of reading or fixing a drink as the sun goes down after a hot day.
The main pièce de resistance of the house is the beautifully proportioned private pool in the rear courtyard measuring 3x5m and with varying depths to cater for small children (the shallow end is just 80cm deep and the "deep" end is 1.5m). To one side of the pool area is the sheltered area, which we use for eating. We have a gas-fuelled barbecue here too, which is perfect for entertaining.

Casa Relinque is perfectly situated for local events such as the Easter Bull Run (it overlooks it) and the Festival of Lights. The local supermarket is 3-minute car drive away but there are a plethora of small grocery shops and bakeries a short walk from the front door.

Excellent location in beautiful Vejer de la Frontera. The house is within walking distance of all the sights, shops, the market, and restaurants in town. It’s also just a 15-minute drive to the town’s beach and 20 to 30 minutes to several other beautiful beaches in the area. Andrew and Linda were very responsive to our questions and made everything easy. The house was a great base for exploring the area, and although the pool is small, it’s definitely a nice bonus.

The Magic of Vejer

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful heritage property right in the heart of Vejer. The property has all the creature comforts you require while immersing you in the history and beauty of this most historic and stunning of Spanish towns. With its central location, the property gives you immediate access to the array of quality restaurants, shops and sights as you mix completely in with daily life in Vejer. The property gives you so many different options for relaxing, eating and soaking in the sun. We had high expectations but they were exceeded on every front with an attentive and caring support team always there if required. I couldn't recommend this beautiful property highly enough.

Property is in a great location, with lots of fantastic restaurants within a couple of hundred metres (flat!) walk. The pool, patio and terrace are all lovely and I would not hesitate to recommend a stay in this beautiful house.

Another brilliant holiday in this perfect house

This is our second holiday at Andrew and Kim’s house and we couldn’t have made a better decision. It is in the perfect location with everything Vejer has to offer on its door step yet also offers the ‘villa with a pool’ option that is so rare in the middle of a town. The house is spotlessly clean, very well-equipped and comfortable. Despite being in the centre of the town it was very quiet at night so no problems sleeping. I am sure we will be back a third time to enjoy a lazy afternoons in the pool and drink on the roof terrace with an insta-worthy view of the town.

The perfect house in the perfect town

We had the most amazing stay at this house in Vejer. Deciding whether to sit by the pool watching swallows dip in for a drink or on the roof terrace with beautiful views of the town was about as much 'stress' as we encountered! The pictures don't do it justice - it is even more stunning than it looks. It was spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped - it is very clear that is is someone's home away from home that they really care about. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. The outdoor BBQ was also really good. It was great to have a villa style holiday but right in the middle of everything - perfect for popping out for a quick wine/ice cream or indeed a full tapas crawl. Despite its central location is was also incredibly quiet and our 6-year-old slept perfectly. Andrew's restaurant recommendations were excellent (delicious food and amazingly good value) and I would add Sumia, Marengo and El Quijote de la Janda to that list. There are more bars, restaurants and shops than you could possibly have time to go to - Vejer is a great town and only 10 mins from gorgeous unspoilt beaches. We had such an amazing time that we are likely to return next year - something we never do!

Beautiful Moorish Townhouse

We stayed at the property at Vejer in August 2021. Upon entering the accommodation were amazed at the size of the property. It is all on one floor and has a lovely open airy feel. The pool is great for cooling off in the heat. The house was clean and meet and greet service from Linda was very professional. Andrew was really helpful in providing us with details about the town and also where to get Covid tests etc. Vejer is a beautiful town with plenty of historical sights plus vibrant bars and restaurants. The shopping is good and is open until Midnight. The beaches are only 30 minutes away and are extremely picturesque. I would highly recommend both the town and also this property.

Fantastisch huis

We hebben het heerlijk gehad, de plek is fantastisch en heel sfeervol en met zorg ingericht. Echter hadden we wat pech met de vaatwasser die het niet deed en de lampen in de hal zou ik vervangen met warmer licht, maar dat zijn kleine verbeterpunten op detail niveau. Verder raad ik ieder dit huis aan.

Perfect house in perfect location

We loved our stay in this beautiful house and will definitely be back. Great location in the old town but it still felt really peaceful. Pool area gets the sun all day and very sheltered so nice to have dining table and chairs in the shade. Views from the huge roof terrace are stunning-especially when the sun is going down. House was v well equipped both inside and out with comfy beds and we especially appreciated all the beach equipment for trips to lovely local beaches (we went to El Palmar and Barbate-both lovely but different). All the tips Andrew provided in advance were brilliant. Vejer is beautiful with a huge variety of fantastic restaurants and bars. Visit to tuna museum in Barbate also recommended (reserve online) for something a bit different.

AMAZING house in Vejer..

We have been visiting Vejer for over 15 Years and this time our accommodation was the best yet. The house was Fantastic and had everything you needed for a great stay. Ideally located, a short walk from the old town to the new town. The pool and terrace areas were beautiful and were very well equipped. We would highly recommend this property and we can’t wait to visit again...

Location is good, lovely pool & private sunbathing

Large spacious house with a very well equipped kitchen. The owner left lots of sundry items and all towels are provided with 4 good sun loungers. However I was disappointed with the general condition of the house. Coat hooks, door hooks lose in the wall, windows above the bathrooms leaked when it rained and the interior walls need a lick of paint. The house also smelled damp and white flecks of plaster continually fell onto the kitchen work tops. All that said the pool area is good with a BBQ area and outside table for eating and the roof terrace is spacious and also has a good sized table for eating. Another 2 sun loungers on the roof terrace so plenty of room for a family of six.

Großzügiges, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus in zauberhaftem Dorf

Das zentral gelegene Stadthaus erstreckt sich über eine große Fläche, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, und verfügt über alle Einrichtungsgegenstände, die man für einen Familienurlaub braucht. Der Pool war im März zwar noch etwas kalt, aber dank der vielen Wasserspielgeräte konnten die Kinder Flöße bauen und damit den Pool queren. Die Temperaturen in der Sonne waren schon herrlich sommerlich, allerdings ist es gut, wenn man sich im Frühjahr noch auf kältere Abende einstellt. Das Haus kann über Klimaanlagen und Elektroöfen etwas erwärmt werden. Das Dorf ist malerisch, die Tapas hervorragend und die Menschen sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Hilfestellungen und Tipps gab es ausreichend sowohl per E-Mail von den Vermietern als auch vor Ort von der - von früh bis spät erreichbaren - Estefi. Unsere Kinder haben bereits am Ankunftstag beschlossen, dass wir noch ein weiteres Mal wiederkommen müssen. Es gefiel ihnen so gut im Haus und am Pool, dass Ausflüge in die Umgebung etwas kurz kamen. Aber dafür können wir uns ja dann das nächste Mal Zeit nehmen!

- Wij hadden geen onmiddellijke toegang tot de woning bij onze aankomst gezien de manager de voordeur niet openkreeg (klemde ingevolge vocht).Ook de binnendeuren van de kamers sloten niet. - de woning was niet voorverwarmd , wat in de huidige periode een must is : het was er dus koud , vochtig , klamme lakens enz.Dit heeft zowat drie dagen geduurd. Deze eigenaars schijnen niet te beseffen welke risicos dit met zich meebrengt.Ik heb mijn echtgenote , die een longpatiente is , moeten onderbrengen in een hotel gezien dergelijke toestanden voor haar zeer gevaarlijk zijn. - het was niet mogelijk de woning deftig te verwarmen en tegelijkertijdtijd te koken of andere apparaten te gebruiken zoniet sprongen de zekeringen : vermogen van teller veel te zwak. - minimaal comfort : zelfs geen koffiemachine en oubollige sanitaire installaties. Alles bij mekaar misschien prettig in de zomer , op voorwaarde dat het zwembad proper gemaakt wordt , maar af te raden in de winter.Te duur gezien het beperkte komfort , de weinig klantgerichte houding en de hogere opmerkingen. This villa is wonderful: very spacious, well looked after and with a great pool and roof terrace.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. All the rooms are generously sized and the pool area and roof terrace are perfect suntraps. The house is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We would highly recommend this house and would be keen to stay here again on future visits to the area.

Die Wohnung liegt in der Altstadt von Vejer, ist groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und verfügt über einen kleinen Pool im Innenhof und eine große Dachterrasse. Es gibt ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett, die anderen beiden Schlafzimmer sind mit Einzelbetten ausgestattet. Es gibt fußläufig einige kleinere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und tolle Tapas Bars. Also alles vorhanden für einen guten entspannten Urlaub.

Perfect house in Vejer

The house is perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. We love Vejer which has a unique atmosphere with some fantastic restaurants and interesting shops. The house is spacious and very well equipped and has great views over the old town from the roof terrace. Having a gorgeous pool in such a centrally located property was just the icing on the cake!

Perfect property, perfect stay

Absolutely loved the house! Even better than it looked online, and the pool was fantastic - far bigger and deeper than we expected. Lying by our own private pool was so relaxing, and eating breakfast and lunch in the shady area beside it was a wonderful experience. The house is really well equipped and I can't think of a single item that we needed that wasn't provided. There were only two of us but the house would sleep six- with one double and four single beds and two bathrooms. Loads of sofas as well and plenty of space to spread out. Barbecue area with a large table and chairs and a gas barbecue, though we were too lazy to make use of it. Ditto a roof terrace with sun beds and another large table and chairs which we didn't use as we had so much space for the two of us downstairs! The kitchen was really well-equipped, but we didn't bother cooking so can't really comment on the cooker, dishwasher etc but they looked very new and modern. Vejer is a beautiful town and there were so many restaurants and tapas places on our doorstep we just ate out most of the time, but it would be easy to self-cater for a larger family. I was delighted to find one bathroom had a bath as well as a shower. Huge DVD collection which would be great if the weather wasn't good. All in all a wonderful property and a wonderful stay. If we are back in Vejer any time, this would be our first choice- in fact I don't think I would go back if this property wasn't available, as it was perfect,
