We were surprised when we opened the door and had to go in the front door to the house, walk through their living room, upstairs and down a hallway to the room that was ours. The house was dirty and smelled of a deep frier. There was clothes in the dresser in our room. The host was nice and helpful, the bed comfortable but we were shocked when we came in the front door and only had a bedroom which we felt confined to. VRBO felt the listing was accurate. I would argue that.

The host was not there at arrival. It was not disclosed that we were confined to one room on the second floor. The carpeting leading to the room and in the room was soiled. The host was helpful in locating eating places.

Not at all as advertised. You do not get the entire home, you are in a room in a home with a family. The room itself is lovely, a bathroom with a shower and tub is attached to the room. But you are sharing the home with the family.

All the family was very kind with us! They helped us a lot hosting both cat and dog (it was very difficult to find a solution Where to stay in Vancouver). We could use a microwave to eat lunch and dinner in the room. The room is big and comfortable, the position of the house is nearby supermarkets (10 minutes walking) in a nice neighbourhood, we could walk every day with our dog easily! There is a bus nearby and you can take it to go to the town

The house is in a nice quiet neighbourhood and the owner was very nice. But when we arrived no one was home and we were surprised to walk into what was clearly someone’s family home with no idea where our room was. I felt very uncomfortable with the extreme messiness of the house and wondered if it was used as a public hostel which is why it was so messy. But it seems it is just a family home. The bedroom we were given was comfortable and quiet with a private bathroom.

The room was pretty clean, but the rest of the house looked like a bomb had exploded. The house also smelled like a deep fryer. The host did give me some money back because his son had come home and there was extra stuff in the house.Would not recommend.
