"The trails close by are perfct to go on with my kids. They can be kind of steep so be prepared to carry the little ones at times. The kitchen has all the utensils needed to cook. Its a small and cozy lodge with plenty of space for large groups. The Tavern has some really good dining options with friendly staff. "

"The refrigerator could not maintain a regular temperature. The two bathroom ceiling lights on the timer should be infrared to warm things up in there! Other than that, my only other complaint is that the shampoo, conditioner, lotion & soaps are all made in China."

"What a magical place to stay. It's nice to listen to the waterfall, day and night. So relaxing. There is live music on the weekends. Beds are super comfy. I like the historical hotel, even the old-time elevator. All the artwork is old, a reminder of yester years. Staff is very nice. The grounds are well kept with resident ducks happily enjoying the river that runs through the property. Lovely place to stay. It's on my list of top places to run away for a weekend. The town of Hood River...
