"The hotel is within walking distance to everything. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The pool and gym were a major plus."

"We chose this hotel as it had great reviews and offered free parking. Although a little dated the hotel was great. A 10 minute walk to Pier 39 and close to the Cable Car stops etc. Our room was a little noisy as it overlooked the rear of "Bimbos" so we had to keep the window shut but we had aircon which we needed."

"We actually have nothing truly negative to say about this place. Check in was easy and helpful. Parking was great. We left our car in the garage under the hotel for 4 days and it was fine. Elevator was slow but useful. We asked for a room on the top floor and in the back away from the traffic and that's exactly what we got. The room itself was clean and roomy. Everything worked fine except the TV which had connecting issues. AC, microwave, .coffee maker, and mini fridge were all clean and...

"This hotel is in desperate need of some TLC. My room smelled horrible and there were dark stains on the carpet. There is no honor bar or even in-room coffee. To top that off, the shower did not drain. The lobby looks thrown together and the they don’t even have a gift shop, it is a little nook off the lobby with vending machines. It is really a shame that such a historic hotel in one of the beautiful areas in San Francisco has deteriorated so much."
