"My wife and I had an amazing weekend anniversary trip at this cottage. No-nonsense, fenced rear dog yard, cool AC, clean sheets, abundant blankets and towels, great water pressure, great location near lots of hiking and a short trip to Franklin/Oil City/Slippery Rock, and a very warm welcome from an amazing host. What more could you ask for? We would happily stay again!"

"We were delightfully surprised by how quiet this location was. There was very little traffic on the gravel residential road to the house. We also enjoyed walking many miles on the Rails to Trails tunnel trail just a short walk from the property. The deck over the water was wonderful. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked with all we needed! Worth every penny!"

"We had an amazing stay here! The house is absolutely beautiful, it’s so cozy and was the perfect place for our girls weekend! The area was also beautiful and had great areas to walk or hike. The host was so nice and communicated very quickly, they messaged a few hours before check in to let us know we could check in early if we wanted and was very understanding about an accident involving a shattered wine glass. Overall a great place to stay!"

"Nicest private home we have ever stayed in. Tastefully restored elegant Victorian home with all modern amenities. Historical connection to the region helps make it even more special. Private large garden and patio area is lovely. We only used three of the six bedrooms most which have very comfortable king sized beds. Great place for larger groups to stay and relax."

"Larry was a wonderful attentive host. Quick clear communication. Wonderful place to bring your fur family members. Nice trails for them to burn off some pent up travel energy. Great hiking nearby and plenty of small town charm in the area as well to explore. Or just be intown for a college visit or two…. ;)"

"Elk Street Retreat was everything it was advertised to be.. The house was fantastic: kitchen was well apportioned - maybe the best of all the VRBOs we've stayed at over the past 5 - 6 years. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of bath towels and bath accessories. We were one block away from the main part of town - but you'd never know it when hanging out on the deck or back yard..We especially liked the multiple times a day visit from an adorable white cat we nicknamed Frankie. We would love...

"A great weekend and pet friendly. The cabin is newly refurbished and is very clean, comfortable, and modern, with no musty cabin smell! Great communication with the property owner. We used the bar-b-que and fire pit and made for a nice relaxing evening around the fire. Easy river access for kayaking or fishing."

"What a gorgeous and serene area to stay. Nestled in its own community of cabins, with a small lake is a quaint cottage, with caring owners. The fire pit was set up to start a fire."
