"Great location for exploring all the Lake District. Internet access was the only challenge but the cottage was clean and well cared for with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. Off the street so very quiet and the hostess sent out a comprehensive list of places to go and things to see. We would definitely stay there again if available."

"We visited with out 3 girls during half term. We really liked the layout of the apartment and it had everything we needed (although we forgot to take towels which weren't supplied - our bad!) The surrounding are beautiful and interesting with the old ironworks directly opposite. We found a nice pub, the Anglers Arms, just up the road with friendly staff and the food looked good. Our only very minor gripes are - we couldn't get one of the radiators to come on downstairs - not too bad when we went...

"The lodge was very well equipped with kitchen items. Only thing that will let it down. Could’ve done with the bit of a clean, dust specially, when you have asthma, and the dust doesn’t help.But very quiet location and lovely."
