9A Lighthouse Point, "Lighthouse Retreat" is located in the gated Lighthouse Point Condo. This cozy Tybee getaway is steps to the beach on Tybee's north end. While staying at this condo you will have access to two pools and the tennis courts that are exclusive to this condo complex. The lighthouse point condos are conveniently within walking distance to the Tybee Lighthouse, the north beach recreation area, and Tybee's brand new Marine Science Center.
9A Lighthouse point is a two-bedroom and two-bath condo with an open living floor plan. This vacation getaway is perfect for small families or two couples. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, smart TV, and access to the balcony overlooking the Captain's Row neighborhood. A large dining table separates the kitchen from the living room area and is perfect for playing games or eating meals. The kitchen is equipped with standard size appliances.
The main bedroom has a queen bed, an attached full bathroom, and private access to the condo's balcony.
The additional bedroom is located on the opposite side of the condo and also has a queen bed. This second full bathroom is conveniently located next to this bedroom.
There is no elevator access and the condo is accessed by a staircase of 19 steps. The pool and grilling area is located directly across from the condo building.
Additional amenities include keyless entry and a washing machine and dryer in the condo.

Parking for two vehicles.

It’s 756 steps from the condo to the ocean and you have to cross a few water areas, so taking a wagon with your stuff is out of the question unless you want to pack it through water. It was a bit of a haul to get to the beach and if you have any mobility issues, this probably isn’t the place to stay. The condo was cute, but the beds were definitely not queen size. The rooms were small. The kitchen was small and some of the cookware was not clean. Also saw the biggest cockroach of my life. It was close to the size of a ketchup packet. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this condo. Best of luck to the owners and hope things can change for more positive reviews. My biggest qualms were the vagueness about getting to the beach, the size of the bed, and the monster cockroach.

Cockroaches consistently seen

Overall the stay and condo was clean, however, there were many sightings of German (large) cockroaches each day in the condo. The property manager was responsive and sent out an exterminator multiple times to spray, but this did not help. We ended up leaving a day early. Beach access was on the property, but not as easy as other places we have stayed. It would have been tougher to access and walk to the beach with smaller children. The pool area was close and very nice. It was clean, multiple pools, and warm pool water with a smaller sunbathing pool.

Great experience at Tybee

We really enjoyed our time at Tybee Island. The condo was clean and spacious for our family of five. The staff was responsive when we had an issue with the internet, and they had it resolved the same day. The location is quiet and peaceful, away from the busyness by the pier. We would come again.
