"Great little independent hotel. I see some other reviews have spoken about the nearby train going by and the thin walls. The train is definitely close, but once I was asleep, I never heard it again. And I never did hear any of my neighbors either, so I guess your mileage may vary. All in all, a surprisingly spacious room, very clean, with a clean bathroom. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful with a great attitude. No complaints, no notes."

"The Airstream we were given was quite different from what we thought it would be based on photos. Much older, worn, and out-dated. If I had known it wouldn't be one of the trailers featured in the photos on the website, I would have stayed somewhere else. The community areas were nice, so we spent most of our time there, rather than in the trailer. The view of the Colorado River and easy access to the bike trail also helped to offset our disappointment in the trailer. Nathan"

"our rooms werent ready for check-in when we arrived we had to go wait in town with all of our stuff and we came back hours later to find them still not ready. staff was unhelpful and difficult. other people in the hotel got locked out of their rooms and got no help from front desk and they had to find a different place to stay since they couldnt get back in. people were loud in the rooms all day n night and dogs were barking and going crazy."

"Found bugs in the first room, they said they would clean it and that didn't happen. They moved us to a new room and the carpet was so dirty we asked for a vacuum to clean it ourselves. When I checked out and told the front desk about our experience they did not offer a discount or refund. Also, breakfast was a very minimal continental breakfast, not worth it. Will not be staying here again!"

"Right in the heart of downtown Grand Junction within walking distance of plenty of bars and restaurants. Try Cruise Control a couple blocks from hotel for great beer, cocktails and food. Hotel Melrose has been beautifully restored— Lovely sitting area, backyard patio, and a great lounge. We will definitely stay again."

"Overall a nice place to stay. Quiet and clean with helpful staff. The Continental breakfast is adequate but could benefit from more frequent cleaning of counters, tables and equipment between guests. They are supposed to clean your room every 3rd day but I had to ask someone directly on the 5th day to get clean sheets and towels. I stayed a total of 8 nights but when I asked for a late check out I was told I would have to pay an additional fee. Seemed a bit rude."
