I sat on the large porch in the mornings with my coffee, and it was very peaceful and enjoyable. But as the morning wears on, the sun goes overhead and the entire porch becomes too hot to use. Unfortunately, the porch on the other side of the house isn't better in the afternoons since the "roof" is translucent and therefore doesn't provide...

"We had a wonderful time during our stay! We enjoyed being out on the water and exploring the different islands Lake Gaston has too ofter. The best part of our stay was hanging out on the amazing screened in porch!!! Whether we were drinking our morning coffee listening to the birds wake up, or smoking dinner on the trager!! We also enjoyed making s’mores and spending quality time with the family around the awesome fire pit! We will definitely be back for another weekend on the lake! Our Host was...

"What a great setting for a multigenerational family gathering! The home was clean and exceedingly well stocked with everything you need for a lake getaway. The dock sits on a quiet cove, perfect for fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking, and has cleats to tie a rented boat for longer journeys out to the main lake. Game room and lower level rec room provided variety for evening intertainment. Highly recommend!"
