"Charming hotel . Sheets and pillows top notch… the bed a bit firm for me. Well appointed, bathroom dated but clean. Toilet extremely low to the ground.. wow.. but everything worked just fine. Quiet with great ac. Friendly staff!! Thank you WS hotel!"

"For me, this was an inexpensive option to stay in manhattan. The building is an interesting piece of New York history (read the Wikipedia). If you know what to expect, a small room with a small bed, and a common bathroom. I suggest flip flops. "

"Pleasantly surprised. Excellent and friendly staff from the doorman, front desk and housekeeping. Room was very clean and comfortable and the neighborhood is perfect. Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was a nice plus. This will be my permanent go to when I'm visiting NY."

"Good location and pretty quiet, but close to attractions. Bed was comfortable, check in was easy and room was clean. The private balcony was very tiny. Only two people could stand on it very close to each other. Check out was easy."

"Nice help on desk, but not a serious HOTEL. Reasonably priced hotel for NYC but room needed updating and attention. For ex. Shelf in bathroom for personal items tilted and would not hold more than a toothbrush!, A little dark and floor rug old looking. OVERALL CLEAN. "

"Best value for location. Great terrace deck! Make sure your room has own toilet and shower; we were not aware these had to be shared with other hotel guests, didn’t see anything mentioned when booking."

"When I booked this hotel I expected just another hotel but it's not this hotel is amazing. Rooms are great, clean, modern and well laid out. Highly recommend if you're planning a trip to NYC and a definitely if you plan on staying in the lower East side area."

"The location couldn’t be better! Near Grand Central and other restaurants for a quick breakfast or late night snack.
