Charming 3 bedroom 2 bath 1600 sq. ft. home located on natural desert home site in central foothills close to all services but very private setting. Queen bed in master, single bed in bedroom 2, hide a bed couch in bedroom/den 3 plus hide a bed in living room. Separate formal and also informal dining. Covered patio looks onto natural desert rear yard that is very private due to backing to a desert wash with heavy vegetation. Two car garage. Stunning mountain views of the 9,000 ft Catalina's. Close by access to national forest hiking trails which our guests love.
We have just added this property to the list of VRBO available rentals. A minimum rental period has been specified in order to respect the upper end highly desirable location where the home is located. The rental rate is conservative compared competitive rates in order to attract longer term occupants. Hopefully we have provided an opportunity for winter visitor guests that is unmatched in terms of location, convenience, comfort and natural beauty. Tucson is much more comfortable during the summer than generally appreciated so we have adjusted the rate and will now offer the home during the summer months to the delight to those who choose to visit during this rare and enjoyable period of the year. If you reserve the home we will make every effort to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

Host was very responsive. When we pointed out the damaged frying pans, he bought a whole new set of pots and pans and brought them over. The air conditioner worked well. Our week in Tucson was during a hot spell in March, with temperatures in the high 90s to over 100. This is our 3rd time staying here. We love it.

Home is very comfortable with plenty of space outside and inside to relax and dine. Area is quiet with porch in shade with table and chairs. Morning and evening app listed 15 different bird songs. Kitchen furnished with all needed for preparing meals. Stores and restaurants within 5 minute drive. Access to hiking trails up the street or 8 minute drive to other locations. Make sure that the bedroom arrangements meet your needs if for family booking. We were very pleased and find it perfect place for our needs.

We had a lovely stay, the house is all yours in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a spacious older house with all the necessary amenities in the kitchen, some items are quite old, but still work. Outside has a private patio area (the neighbour has a garage that you can see, but we never saw them in it). The landscaping out the back is rugged and the birds and rabbits love it. The bed was very comfortable and the heating worked very well. It was close to some restaurants and there was a few supermarkets within 10-15mins.It was nice to have the garage and the washer/dryer.Things to note: being your own shampoo, conditioner, tea and if you can't find the sugar it's in the pantry in the dining room.

Great house in a beautiful location

My husband and I stayed for a week in this house. The backyard was unique and beautiful. There was a lot of outdoor furniture so we could sit out and enjoy the birds and wildlife we saw. The inside of the house had everything we needed - a well stocked kitchen, W/D, comfortable bed, and plenty of room. Everything was clean and they even left paper towels and toilet paper. It was not a fancy house but it was perfect for our vacation and we would return without hesitation.

Nice, large home in a safe neighborhood

The home is large and very clean! Great place for a family to stay! The area is beautiful, safe and secluded due to the surrounding vegetation which we loved! Weather was great the whole time we were there.

Great location for a quiet visit to Tucson

Nice location in the Catalina Foothills. The home has a large living room, dining room, and eat-in kitchen area. It had everything we needed, including a wonderful AC system. The only recommendation I'd make is to update the bath towels. They are very old and need replacing. Otherwise, our family of 3 had a lovely visit and would consider staying here again.

Peaceful

We loved the peace and quiet of this lovely home. Everything that we needed was available including extra sheets and towels. The outdoor patio was beautiful and where we ate our meals. Viewing nature from inside or outside was a treat too. We highly recommend!

Upscale neighborhood, easy to find, quiet, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, comfy home and yard, what can I say more? Even learned what a Javelina was from a neighbor on a walk.

Love the location!

Had A really nice stay at this foothills property. The backyard is incredible. Very wild. Lots of birds. Didn’t see any animals however, no, havelinas, no bobcats, no coyotes, although I did hear coyotes howling at night.

Perfect spot for relaxing

I wasn't expecting to travel alone so was nervous about picking a good area. This place was perfect. Safe, quiet, lots of close things to see and do. Back yard is fabulous. I saw more birds and small critters here than I did in the state park. SUPER Clean. Chris replied quickly with tips around the area. Would love to stay again when I have some company.

Wonderfully quiet, foothills retreate

Very happy with this stay, though there were some quirks to the property. Had a couple initial hiccups with the internet service, but the owner was very responsive and dealt with the problem quickly. House is comfortable, spacious and very homey to anyone who grew up in the 70/80's like me. Backyard/patio area was my favorite -- great place for morning coffee with lots of birds & the sunrise.

Perfect choice for our month in Tucson

If you don't mind being off the beaten path, this property in a quiet, residential neighborhood in the Catalina Foothills is a great choice. It's an older home, but all the "important" stuff works as advertised - kitchen appliances, heating, plumbing, etc. the backyard is an absolute desert oasis, complete with an array of birds and other wildlife. The owner was great to work with. I highly recommend this property.
