  • Honey Bear Hollow offers guests access to a secluded mountain resort with endless amenities and plenty of things to do for both adults and kids. This cozy home has been meticulously updated, including custom leather furniture, fresh paint throughout, new rugs, updated lighting, and new bedding.

    FIRST FLOOR
    The spacious Master suite enjoys a large, comfortable king-size bed with a tempur-pedic mattress and a luxurious master bath with granite countertops, dual sinks, a bidet, and a large walk-in shower.

    The living room features two story vaulted ceiling with a massive stone wood burning fireplace and plenty of room to relax. Flat screen TV provides access to Amazon Video, Netflix, Paramount Plus, and Hulu. AC and central heating are included. There is a guest bathroom on the main floor.

    The spacious, well-equipped kitchen features granite countertops, gas stove top, state of the art appliances, coffee grinder, and all the pots and pans a gourmet chef may need, including Dutch oven and a knife sharpener! The dining room and kitchen bar area have plenty of comfortable seating.

    Step outside onto the large screened in porch and enjoy plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the wooded view and cool mountain air. Porch includes a wood burning fireplace and gas grill.

    The laundry room has a new full-size washer and dryer, with laundry soap included.

    SECOND FLOOR
    Upstairs there are two spacious queen bedrooms and second full bathroom.

    Honey Bear Hollow comfortably sleeps 6 guests.

We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing getaway at Honey Bear Hollow in Bear Lake! The house is gorgeous with everything that you need for a mountain getaway. Thank you for a lovely stay - we will definitely be back!

This was at least our 2nd time staying at this house and we would love to book it again. It’s walking distance to good trails and an easy drive to the lodge. We also love that the kitchen has mostly everything that you’d need to be able to cook every night for a family of 4. Thanks again!

Stayed for a long weekend with my husband and teenaged children. Everything was just as pictured and very clean and well decorated. It was a wonderful stay and we will for sure stay again.

We had a wonderful time for a friend's wedding. The place was big enough to accommodate all of us and the best part was the Toto bidet in the master bathroom! What a beautful cabin.

Weekend Get-A-Way

The house was clean and tastefully decorated, and easy to get to for our weekend stay. We were able to easily navigate to the pools and restaurant and the tennis courts from this location. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.

This Mountain Paradise is a Must Stay!

What a wonderful place for a mountain getaway! This home was clean, spacious, and perfectly located for our trip with wonderful amenities right nearby. Richard was a helpful and communicative host which made booking our trip even easier. We will be back!

This property is outstanding: very clean, well furnished, beds are very comfortable, everything worked well and completely stocked with what you need for a great vacation. The location is perfect as it is between clubhouse and golf course but be sure to bring plenty of golf balls. The Host is beyond outstanding!

We love Bear Lake Reserve and we will add this home to our list as another great place to stay in BLR. The owner was very helpful and provided a lot of good information. We even found a new local activity: the mountain coaster!

A Wonderful Family Getaway

Look no further - this is the perfect mountain getaway. The home is beautiful, comfortable, & well stocked. There’s even a book with detailed information about the local restaurants. The clubhouse amenities are about a 10 minute scenic mountain drive away but the pool & marina are worth the time. We’re already planning our next trip.

Honey Bear Hollow is not like the pictures. It's better! This home is a spotless retreat in a quiet part of Bear Lake. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. Everything is just as the owner describes. We spent a lot of time on the back porch listening to the leaves fall and burning wood in the outdoor fireplace.

This home was beautiful and had everything you would need, even an ironing board and iron! Richard, the owner , was fabulous at communication, very prompt and helpful. Please adhere to ALL he tells you in the welcome packet. This is a very remote location and you can’t just run up to a store to get a bottle of milk! Bring all you need to eat for a day or so. It is a wonderful retreat for relaxation, very private. If you have motion sickness, take your meds before the ride up, lots of steep, winding roads. Thank you, Richard, for being such a wonderful host!!

We have stayed at Bear lake reserve before and this was by far our favorite home we have stayed in! All the beds and bedding were very comfortable, the home was beautifully decorated and very well kept. It was extremely clean in every corner. The view out the back was gorgeous, you feel like you’re in a tree house! We loved making a fire in the fireplace outside. There was plenty of firewood provided! Everything you could possibly need was provided even coffee filters! We also loved how close it was to the clubhouse! We will definitely stay here again! 5 stars!

Honey Bear Hollow was a DREAM for our family!

Our stay at this North Carolina mountain cabin was nothing short of magical, and we're already dreaming of our return! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning, panoramic mountain views that greeted us – truly a sight that soothes the soul.The cabin itself felt instantly like a warm and inviting home, not just a rental. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided and wonderfully maintained, making our family's stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. Whether it was cozying up by the fire, enjoying meals together in the well-appointed kitchen, or simply relaxing on the deck, every moment was pure bliss. This isn't just a place to stay; it's a cherished memory waiting to be made. We can't recommend it highly enough!
