"Sir Angel’s Guesthouse started as a longtime Belizean family home, and it is even named after the patriarch, Angel. Communication while booking was timely and accurate. Upon arrival, my booked ride from the airport was prompt, and the driver gave me a local tour en route to the Guesthouse! "Nice rooms and staff. Great restaurant near by and walking path along the water. And easy walk to the big nice museum. Nice patio to enjoy the birds and ocean breeze. Big hotel across the street under construction but noise is over by 6 pm. Our 4th time staying here and we will be back the next time we visit Belize."

"There was a staff member there that was very rude to us upon checking in and when my family and I wanted to go out and come back in, he refused to move his vehicle for us to park. We cannot park on the side street so we wanted to use the parking lot at that point. I had to contact the manager. We were supposed to be provided breakfast. There was none. I don’t think I would come back here when I’m in the city again."

Regarding reviews about location, most travelers know Belize City is a jumping off point to get to the islands, one nights stay is sometimes required for connecting flights and water taxi. The hotels are not resort quality because no one is staying there for a week. This was a safe and clean location for our one night stay and totally worth the cost. "We were diverted here for 1 night when the Roatan airport closed due to heavy rain. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's bare bones room, no coffee maker or safe, no elevator. We just needed a place not far from the airport for a quick one night stay. "
