Welcome to Wombat Forest Country Retreat!
A comfortable and modern country retreat on a rural property. Large, light and airy open living space with views out over farmland, forest and water. The Retreat has a fully equipped, spacious kitchen and covered back deck with outdoor furniture. The Retreat provides 1 bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. There is an additional king-size day bed in the lounge, so up to 4 people can be accommodated, all sharing the single ensuite bathroom.
The Retreat is attached to the main building, it has separate guest driveway, parking and a private entrance. There are no shared internal areas. There is a large grassy backyard which backs on to 3 acres of magnificent trees and ponds that you are free to explore. We do however ask that guests do not enter the adjoining market gardens without permission.
There is a flat screen TV with free-to-air channels and a variety of DVDs, books and board games to keep you entertained. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can make yourself a hearty breakfast or a home-cooked dinner. You can also buy a box of the freshest veggies straight from our market garden!
The Retreat is nestled in Trentham East - an idyllic rural setting between the Macedon Ranges and Hepburn Springs surrounded by farm lands and bordering the Wombat State Forest. Open green pastures, towering forests and wonderful country lanes abound.
For everyone’s safety and security, there’s a CCTV camera at the front of the property that monitors the driveway.

Absolutely amazing.

We had a nice couple of days staying at this place.David greet us personally and showed around.Very clean and inviting atmosphere.Lots of games, many old cd’s that was lovely to watch.Surroundings are the best, so nice and quiet.Lovely to wake up by yourself without cars honking and other noises, just random cockatoos and kookaburras screaming at each other .Would love some breakfast food in the pantry, but otherwise all was perfect.

Clean and Comfortable

Hosts were very accommodating, unit is very clean, comfy and well equipped. Having a high chair and a cot was very helpful, place is a perfect size for a young family to spend a couple of days.

This is a lovely little place close to Trentham East. Easy to access, very clean and cozy. The owners were very prompt and polite with communication which makes all the difference. Thank you for an easy breezy no fuss stay in the country! :)

Very pleasant, relaxing and well equiped country spot

The whole experience was pleasant. The layout of the house was really cosy and warm. The house was well stocked with plenty of essentials. Sibastian was very friendly. Such a great local environment with a farm and cows in the distance. Would come back again!

The property is about 8 km out of Trentham in a very quiet setting. Big picture windows bring the outside in, even in bad weather as we experienced. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Photos are accurate. We would recommend to anyone looking for a break from the city for a few days. Thanks for everything

Accomodation

Had the best stay. The hosts were so welcoming and accomodating for all needs. I was there for 4 weeks of university placement and they made my stay very comfortable. It had everything I needed. Highly recommend for any stay. Thanks heaps guys!
