Due to a wildfire in the area, I called the day of our check-in to request a cancellation or rebook to a different date. The highway leading into Ouray was closed and law enforcement was urging people to stay away. I was told that as I booked through Expedia it was impossible to change the reservation and that they had a clear policy of no refund less than 14 days out. I...

"The manager was very helpful at first. Then when we found the toilet in our room running constantly and not able to be flushed, he became almost completely unhelpful. He acknowledged that he knew about the toilet but there was nothing he could do. Finally, when pressed he said there was one other room that he could give us with 2 queen beds. "The person at check-in was too busy looking at their phone to acknowledge us. We finally had to ask if we needed to call the number listed on the back of the computer for help. Then gave us a hard time about checking in early when it was already 3:00, not crowded, and rooms available. Also asked if there were places to sit outside and he said no when both floors have chairs outside to look at the sights. Also outside needs some attention with dead plants or overgrown plants.
