Swordfish Suite DOG friendly- Pup Shed Retreat

Spacious serene getaway nestled in the beautiful Tiny Home mountain community of Waters Edge. Sitting next to the lake, our home is a larger version of a "Tiny Home" with 3 large rooms to sleep (king/ Queen/ 2 Twins), 2 full baths, a full kitchen & living room with "WOW" water views! There are Outdoor areas: Covered decks, grill & PUB (PUP) Shed! Play games, sit by the fire pit, enjoy a drink in the pub/pup shed or just enjoy the lake view! Please see SPACE description for DOG rules. This "Tiny Home" is fit for a family or couples to not be cramped in a small space, but to enjoy this wonderful community in a beautiful lake setting. This spacious home has a king bedroom with full bath, a queen bedroom with full bath across the hallway and a very large "stand up" loft with 2 twin beds up a nice stairway. The kitchen is a chefs dream and fully stocked with anything you would need. There is a large island for eating/socializing, ample counter space for cooking, a coffee bar, & a "Bar space" for mixing drinks. The gorgeous living room is connected to the Kitchen with amazing water views all around & a large TV. Open the French doors to incredible outdoor living space under a covered porch with chat table fire pit. There is a huge side porch with a grill & wide open to Lake views. This is a great place to catch some sunshine & read a book! Just off the deck is a winding path back to the PUP/PUB Shed This Shed is another hangout spot to watch a game on TV, have a drink, play games or just enjoy the lake view. There is an exterior "Real Wood" Fire Pit area for times when you want to sit under the trees & stars in a woodsy atmosphere. The community path behind our home is a hop skip and jump to the lake and Kayak rental area.
DOG FRIENDLY RULES: Dogs are NOT allowed inside the Tiny HOUSE! The PUB/PUP shed is a beautiful 14 x 14 little extra house that dogs can hang out and sleep there (mini split a/c and heater inside)! The entire deck off of the house is also great for dogs to spend time with you outside and connects to a fenced area off of the deck for your dog potty needs. We expect all dog droppings to be picked up before leaving the property! We offer dog waste bags right on the property for your use!! Dog bowls are provided! DOG WASH area is on the deck! This come in really handy when its muddy and after the dogs get out of the lake!!! Please be conscious of neighbors when your dog is outside and keep barking to a minimum.

What a wonderful house this is! Located a short walk to a public dock on the water and the community playground, we had a great time at this property as a family. This house comes well stocked, it is like entering your home away from home. The hosts truly thought of everything and made traveling as a family with a toddler so easy. From provided amenities, cleanliness, proximity to the water, fabulous views, and the coziness of the home--this rental can't be beat. We hope to return in the future.

We really enjoyed how cleanliness and organization of this home. It had all that you could ever need! The local neighbor was a sweetheart and the place had very comfortable beds. I would stay here again. The owners were easily to contact and quick to respond:)

We had a great long weekend at the Swordfish Suite. The hosts Abby and Mike could not have been nicer. They responded right away to any questions we had and even gave us recommendations on where to eat during our stay. The home itself is beautiful. With so many personal touches. The views of the lake were so nice. The pup/pub shed was so cute. A great place to hang out and watch the sunset. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. I didn’t want to leave. Just a very relaxing trip.

Visited the area to attend Family Weekend at Sewanee. Property was as listed and well appointed. From a corkscrew to Dove Body Wash...owners thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. If you have pets this property is perfect for your fur babies. We only had two minor issues and the owners responded promptly with resolution.The only reason for a one star deduction was the cushions for the outdoor furniture sets were soiled and we had to sweep the deck due to accumulation of leaves and spider webs on furniture backs. The gates at the subdivision entrance were always open....outside of the owners control. Overall, Retreat at Waters Edge is a gorgeous property.

My family had a wonderful time at this tiny house (which is a bit of a misnomer as we had tons of space for four adults and two children)! The surrounding community is really lovely, and we took advantage of multiple gorgeous hiking trails with waterfall views a very short distance away. All in all, we had a really great time!

Perfect and you can bring your dog!

The owners were amazing! Also the place was perfectly outfitted. Didn’t need one thing or couldn’t make even one suggestion to improve. The ‘pup shed’ for the dog was awesome! My lab loved it. We will definitely be returning and enjoying this rental and beautiful location

Great long weekend gateway!

We enjoyed very much the time Swordfish Suite DOG friendly- Pup Shed Retreat. We loved kayaking at lake as well as nights at fire pit. The place was extremely comfortable for a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 young adults. The house is very clean and provides everything you may need and more. Just like another reviewer mentioned please read the dog house rules carefully before booking. In doubt reach out to the homeowners, they are very responsive. Thank you for sharing your “tiny” home with us this long weekend!

Great getaway near Nashville

Despite so so weather we absolutely loved our stay at Abby and Mike’s “tiny”cottage. We have stayed in a number of rental homes through the years and I think this was the most carefully outfitted of all. They literally have thought of everything you could possibly want or need during your stay. It’s lovely. The tiny house community is also very nicely laid out and well maintained. The convenience to the savage gulch and fiery gizzard hiking areas is what initially drew us there but the swordfish suite would be fun anywhere. One caveat: do read the dog house rules carefully before booking. We had some confusion there but the owners were very willing to communicate with us and work it out. Great experience!!

Perfect spot for the fam + pups

This property is amazing, especially if you bring the doggos along. There is plenty of porch space (with gates throughout to create mini sections) as well as a fenced in yard for the dogs. Even better, there is an entire shed to use for the dogs to sleep or a lil pub setup for the adults (it also has a deck section for neat indoor / outdoor vibes). We encountered a pretty wild storm during our stay and the power went out. I reached out to the property owners and they immediately took action, were incredibly courteous, and amazingly responsive. We've stayed at Water's Edge a few times in different houses but this was far and away the best experience we've had. Looking forward to booking our next stay at the Swordfish Suites!
