We had a great stay. The location is fantastic and it was easy to access, with clear instructions from the host. My dad was upset that there was no TV, but that forced him to get off the couch and go out to find a restaurant to watch the big game :). The furnishings are quite sparse so if you are looking for homey and cozy, this might not be for you. But it was just what we needed and I would definitely stay again. Thanks Lynn!

Disappointed

Check-in was simple but despite a good layout for 2 couples sharing the space, a super view and a central location, this unit was disappointing. The kitchen was probably the biggest issue. The glass stovetop was dirty, most likely from a boiled over and burned on substance. Cooking utensils consisted of a wooden “fork”? There were a couple pieces of silverware (spoons and knives) but the forks were plastic. There were drinking glasses, plates, and a couple bowls.Most of these rentals have minimum furniture but this unit was exceptionally bare bones. No TV, one living room lamp, a couch and futon couch/bed that comprised the living room sitting options. For dining there was a small table with 4 plastic chairs as well as 2 bar height chairs for the kitchen counter. The memory foam mattress in the big bedroom was uncomfortable, the pillows were old and lumpy, covered by old, mismatched pillowcases, and a heavy comforter as the only bed cover option. The bedside tables were laughably small. There were no face towels in either bathroom, just bath and hand.The built-in double closets in the big bedroom were nice but for short stays it would’ve been nice to just have a luggage rack to keep the suitcases off the floor.

Weekend Getaway for 4 Adults

Property was listed as being able to host over 4 people, but that is not accurate. There is one queen and one double bed that can only comfortably fit 3 adults. There was a advertised sofa bed but it was a smaller fold out futon which was very uncomfortable. There were no provided sheets for the futon....only a dirty black blanket. The living room in which the futon sits has no blinds, and so there was a lot of local building and advertising lights flickering into the unit overnight.The kitchen is poorly stocked with utensils and pots, and the living space is poorly lit (one lamp) during evening hours. The space wasn't very clean on arrival. PS no TVs are in the unit.....it did force us to do more non TV stuff or use our smartphones.The check in was a lock box outside the building (a little sketch) and two of the 3 elevators were having issue working. Surrounding area was generally clean and a very good Italian restaurant down the street (La Bettola Di Terroni).The unit is a 20 minute walk to arenas and there is lots of food choices in the area. It was cold during our stay, but we managed to walk quite a bit annd lots of uber/cab options nearbye.We made it work for the weekend but would not suggest to use this for over 3 adult people.

Buyer Beware

I have stayed at Toronto VRBO and the like on dozens of occasions. For a property that boasts accommodating up to 8 guests (there was only me and my daughter) it is spectacularly mis-represented. There is a sitting couch that seats 2 people, 3 high counter stools, and a smalll table with 4 chairs (as pictured). There are no tvs in the place, so if you are looking to catch some sports..no go.There were paper plates and plastic cutlery with a few assorted dishes, glasses, and pieces of cutlery. One cooking pot. Cleanliness was beyond unacceptable. Food left in cupboards and fridge, dirty fridge, oven filthy, dishwasher still had dishes inside, shower had hair on walls and shelf.All of these concerns were voiced to the host after the stay and before this review was postedThank you for the feedback was the replyConsistent with other Hosts, I was allowed to do a bag drop prior to check-in time of 4pm, which was appreciated.I have photos of all of the shortcomings, but I don't see a way of uploading.
