Listing was a shared unit, however this was not mentioned in the listing. After an hour+ back and forth with the remote office located in New York with no information on the area or unit and sending them screenshots of the misleading ad, we were upgraded to another unit a 20 minute walk away.
They asked for a 600 cash (e-transfer) deposit which was also left out of the listing and the man on the phone was extremely unprofessional and unable to tackle the transfer or answer questions without management stepping in. Even simple requests such as an email for proof of deposit payment and receipt was not within his skill range and shows an extreame lackof support and training. The unit was also over booked with 7 individuals in the first 2 rooms of the apartment.
Check in was between 4-8pm. Called at 4pm, service rep complained of us not answering his call at 1pm while we were in the middle of travel. We asked for 10 minutes to discuss if we were comfortable sharing the space and would call him right back. While off the phone he went to his manager, cancelled our booking, and when questioned on why he would do so without authorization he stated "you didn't know it was shared so you won't like it, go online and find another place nearby" even though we had decided on staying. He complained about not being able to reverse it without his manager and how he didn't "want to bother him" at that point I told him the conversation wasn't going anywhere and to have his manager reach out.
