A minute's stroll from the sandy, wild expanse of north Chesterman Beach, discover one of Tofino's most unique, intentionally created cottages. Experience the serenity of the sea, sleep deeply to the rhythm of the tides, soothe away stress and rediscover yourself. Custom-designed by spa and wellness expert Vivienne O'Keeffe and ideal for self-directed retreats and restful escapes. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for each incoming guest.

With crystals like lapis lazuli and smoky quartz embedded in its foundation and interior walls, Tofino Hummingbird Cottage is designed to tap into Tofino's unique healing energy. The 1,450 sq.ft. interior features the soothing palette of nature, works by Island artists and a sustainable ethos, from no-VOC paint to beautiful floors of recycled vinyl and sustainable cork, known for its warmth and ability to soften sound.

The living room features a cozy Norweigian JØTUL gas fireplace, sectional sofa and chairs custom-designed for style and comfort. In the kitchen, enjoy preparing and cooking your food on countertops of quartz Caesarstone and a gas stove with a true convection oven. Tofino's local shops allow plentiful access to fresh seafood, organic vegetables and artisanal foods.

The cottage lays serenely in a coastal marine landscape, designed in collaboration with Tofino organic master gardener Kris Simmons. Surrounded by cedar trees, long revered for their spiritual significance and as symbols of strength, visitors can relax on any of the three decks. The grounds of the cottage are ideal for meditation, listening to the distant thunder of the waves, the whisper of wind through the cedars and the joyful sound of birds.

Wonderful stay

A beautifully presented property, with everything you need for your time in Tofino. The home is cozy and spacious and is nestled in a wonderful location steps from the beach and 10 min walk to coffee. Vivienne is a great host, excellent communication and very warm and friendly, ensuring our stay was perfect. Highly recommended.

Bright, Lovely, and Perfectly Maintained

The owner puts a lot of care into this property. The grounds are well taken care of. The inside is immaculately clean, bright, and well stocked with all the comforts of home. It is a very short walk to the beach, or to the Wickaninnish if you crave a fancy dinner or cocktail. Defiantly, a property worth staying at if you are looking for something on Chesterman Beach.

Fantastic Vacation

My family and I stayed at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage over Thanksgiving, and we had an incredible time. The location is perfect, the cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 6 people. Enjoyed running on Chesterman beach and surfing on Cox beach. Definitely recommend this property!

Outstanding Home on Chesterman Beach

This beautiful home was absolutely lovely and comfortable. It is a two minute walk ti the beach. If you like to cook this kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances and kitchen tools. This appealed to the foodies in the group who don't like to eat out every might. The house is tastefully decorated with west coast elements. The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels are fine quality. Vivienne is a lovely and attentive host. We loved staying here.

Hummingbird Cottage

The property was great. Very comfortable with everything we needed. A quick walk down a pathway to beautiful Chesterman Beach. A short walk to several restaurants. Property owner was very communicative and easy to deal with. I highly recommend the place.

Great Place to Stay

We loved the location right across from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Previously stayed at Pacific Sands in Cox Bay but it has gotten too busy with all the development in the area. The place was spectacular in the design, layout and furnishings. Kitchen was very well appointed with everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Will be coming back

The Hummingbird Cottage was amazing!

The location was outstanding, a few steps from the beach entrance. We enjoyed daily morning beach walks and lots of surfing. The cottage was immaculate, tastefully decorated with good sized rooms and a newly upgraded outdoor livingroom. Vivienne was an excellent host, very responsive and added extra touches that made our stay extra special.

Beautiful cottage

This beautiful, well-outfitted cottage is as advertised. The location is perfect, steps away from Chesterman’s Beach. Other beaches, activities and Tofino are within walking, cycling distance or a short drive. There is also a bus. The friendly owner of the cottage communicates well and responds to requests promptly. Thank you for providing our family with two adult children and their spouses and dogs with a fabulous experience.

Across the road from heaven...

Perfect location just down the road from the Wikinnish Inn and directly across from a beach access ideal for surfing North Chesterman. The house is brilliantly set up for rinsing and drying surfboards, hiking boots and all other bits you will use while staying here. And Vivienne is awesome...
