"Very scenic and excellent staff"

"We got in a freshly renovated room. Everything was in good order. Clean carpet and bedding, renovated bathroom. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Got a good night sleep. Conveniently located next to Dunkin Donuts, 5 min walk to Hannafort grocery store. Low traffic, woody area, well-maintained lawns. Friendly staff got us a reservation for a future date on-site and even at a lower rate than expected. They also have a 10% discount if you are visiting the Maine Maritime academy in Castine."

"This property was gross to be honest, run down and stunk like mold/mildew. The room itself was very nice though. It was clean and recently updated such a stark contrast from everything else on site. There is no elevator or swimming pool. Plenty of food options and a grocery store right next store though. We did not try the continental breakfast though because I wouldn’t eat anything that was stored or prepared there. If they are currently fixing it up then maybe someday it will be a nice place...

"The hotel is claimed to be a 4 star but it’s not more than 2. Location is nice but rooms were less than the average of a simple motel. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a room on the first floor and have a partial view of the hills and pool, I say partial because they have built a tent close to the pool and attached to the building, so it blocks the view. If you’re unlucky like we were, you’ll get a room at the pool level (basement) and have the window just blind, facing the inside of tent, and paying...
