The Brick House At Currahee

Located just outside of Toccoa, GA on a main road just minutes from HWY 17 and South Carolina, this house is within sight of Currahee Mountain. Between Camp Toccoa and the Currahee Military Museum, this house is on the route soldiers would have marched down to do parachute and rifle training when Camp Toccoa was in operation. With many other attractions nearby, there's plenty to keep you busy!

With three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and a spacious entertaining area and kitchen, this house is perfect for families. Surrounded by trees with a small deck at the back of the house, the house offers a shady spot to relax. Equipped with a ramp on the main entrance and handicap accessories in the bathroom, those with disabilities or injuries can easily access the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and cookware as well as a toaster oven, coffeemaker, mixer, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and dishwasher. There's a king size sleep number bed in the master bedroom, and a double bed and bunk bed in the other two bedrooms. Laundry should be easy with a washer and dryer conveniently located near the bedrooms.

A four car carport is right next to the house and offers additional space for outdoor activities even if the sun is not shining. There's plenty of room for multiple vehicles. Space, power and water are available for RV hookup. The house is solidly built with clay brick which helps to regulate the internal temperature, making it an environmentally friendly choice.

It's a great alternative to a hotel for families visiting the area!

Everything was spotless and comfortable. The only problem we had was getting in - the lockbox wouldn't open for us but we called the owner and he came over immediately and let us in. Very nice and friendly man.

We enjoyed our stay. The only complaints we have are that the house had an odor, not a foul odor but just an older, maybe musty smell. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable, and the front yard had a basketball hoop that wasn't usable.

We had a great time! The kids loved the bunk beds, the games, the toys, and all the farm animals! I loved the fresh flowers, sitting on the back porch, and how well stocked the house was with towels and kitchen supplies. There was a perfect amount of seating in the living room for movie night. The house had ample room for our family of six. The owners were great with responding to messages quickly and they helped us out with extra sheets for an air mattress we brought. There is a musty smell to the house, but even with that we would definitely still stay here again!

Very clean. Perfect yet simple house . Very honey and country feel. Reminds me of my grandparents house which was awesome. Owners were told we’d be a late check in and even had the lights left on for us! Made getting in late very easy! We will be back in the spring now that we found this!

It was ver clean and convenient to event we visited. The neighbors are quiet. Kitchen was well equipped, but we would have loved a Keurig. It was difficult locating the entrance coming in from the north at dark. Perhaps reflectors and visually friendly house numbers would help. In addition, cutting shrubs on north side of drive for safer visibility is a suggestion. We would stay here again.

Description was accurate. House was very clean, but did have the musty smell others have mentioned. We also found the master bed to be uncomfortable despite trying lots of different settings. Host was nice and very responsive, but should consider adding fresh coffee and creamer as an amenity. We had to buy some, then had to clean the coffee maker before we were able use it. Location was good in terms of proximity to venues and winery. Overall, a good stay for the price, but could use some upgrades and a way to get rid of the musty smell.

The Brick House at Currahee was fabulous! It has two pianos. After we put our luggage inside, I sat on the piano bench to play. It was such a sweet feeling being able to relax after a day of touring. Touring was good, but when you’re done for the day, you want to rest in a place that feels like home. The Brick House at Currahee certainly feels like that. There are three bedrooms and a bath and a half. Each bedroom sparkles with clean linen and elegant furniture. The window drapery is soft and silky. Each room includes tastefully wrought paintings of landscapes. The one over the piano in the living room is by one of the Webb family members and depicts Toccoa Falls, which we had come to see. The painting is detailed and looks like the real scene. The host was friendly and prompt at staying in touch. I was able to get the key to the house from a lock box. When it was time to leave, they helped me with the exit. The kitchen was clean and had all the modern conveniences — large refrigerator, dishwasher, range etc. Though we did not need it, there was a bunk bed in one of the bedrooms that would be perfect for a family with children. We enjoyed our stay and hope to rent again when we find ourselves in the area.

This was our second stay here and this house is our favorite place to stay while visiting family in the Toccoa area. The host family is the absolute best, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. We highly recommend this place and will return again the next time we visit.

Perfect home for many vacation spots!

We were able to visit Henderson Park, Toccoa Fall, Toccoa lake, Currahee Mountain trail, Tallulah falls and state park! Perfect place to come home and take breaks in peace and quiet!
