"Jeffrey was the best host. This is a beautiful property which is obviously lovingly maintained. The building is so pretty and has multiple sitting areas outside of your room (which was also great). I have dietary restrictions and Jeffrey and others made sure to have snacks for me to enjoy during the wonderful nightly happy hours and delicious options for breakfast. This area was also fun to explore and Jeffrey gave us very good pointers on where to go."

"My flight got cancelled so i had to book a room for a night. The pictures online make it seem so updated and modern. So I reserved this hotel. In reality, the hotel is old and outdated. It looks like they are trying make renovations, but its not even close. The hotel is dark and smells like musty carpets. The dining area was presentable, but the waitresses were not friendly. It was almost if I was bothering them when I asked what was good the eat. The food itself was ok but nothing great...

"I was able to check in several hours early, the staff was super friendly and gave restaurant suggestions and a map of town. Building and room was clean and secure. Had a very pleasant experience. Definitely recommend."

"The room...we upgraded to a superior room ...was very noisy...like no insulation...you could plainly hear people in other rooms talking....NO wifi...you have to PAY...no parking...you have to PAY 35 bucks every day...and no free breakfast....you have to pay for everything and the staff was not helpful....never stay here again"

"The hotel was not what I expected. It was not in a great area of Richmond with no drugstore or coffeeshops (that we found) around the hotel..everything we wanted to see was a cab ride ($20) away. The room was large but not any hooks in the bathroom except in the shower! And water went all over the floor while showering. BUT we loved Richmond and will be back. Just not at the Quirk."

"We booked 2 rooms for July 4 weekend, back in 11/2025. 2 weeks before our trip the hotel sent an email to cancel the booking unilaterally citing “HVAC” issues. You could still book the same rooms from their website or Expedia but they were now double the price! They must’ve seen high demand for the weekend (a convention was going on at the Greater Richmond Convention Center), and they canceled booked reservations to book the same rooms for double the rate. This is price gouging at its worst!...

"Everything was pretty good except having to be in the very very back of the floor and the staff was either not accommodating or around. The bartender helped me find the person to check in and was always as his station. The breakfast was a bit lacking. And I was looking forward to that the most since I work in the hospital but other than that It was ok"
