Kick back and relax at this dog-friendly and oceanfront Cape Meares vacation rental! This home lies in a secluded coastal community and includes a private set of steps to the beach, on the back part of the property. Cape Meares is beloved for its quiet atmosphere and sights like the lighthouse and Cape Meares National Wildlife Refuge, but guests won't be far from more populated destinations. Shopping and dining in Oceanside and Netarts and the world-famous cheese and ice cream of Tillamook are all less than a 10-mile drive away. It's the perfect retreat for couples, families, or a small group of friends.



When everyone has had their fill of coastal sightseeing, relaxing at home base on your private deck will be the perfect cap to dreamy vacation days. Sip a cocktail or glass of wine as burgers cook on the gas grill, or soak in bliss in your private hot tub! When everyone is ready to come inside, the wood stove will keep everyone cozy on foggy mornings and chilly evenings as a movie streams on the TV. Bring along your favorite recipes as well, as the remodeled kitchen is more than ready to assist with preparing meals right at home.

    Didn't use the hot tub. Really like this place, I have brought family here twice. Had a problem with the upstairs TV. We were going to watch a movie, and it was emitting a strong electric hot smell. We unplugged the whole system and left it unplugged. Opened some windows and turned on the stove fan. This cleared the smell out, but the issue does need to be addressed.

    We had a great stay here and loved the location and easy access to the beach. The home has plenty of amenities and was mostly clean. One thing to note is this is an older home, so there were several times during our stay where the circuit breaker had to be reset simply for using the microwave. Also, if it’s sunny out (we got lucky with nice weather) the main living area turns into a sauna in the late afternoon. I would recommend the instillation of shades that can be drawn for such circumstances. Otherwise, we loved our visit and would stay here again.

    Great beach house

    Loved the kitchen, dining room, family room setup. Open, inviting, with great view. Can take a very long, scenic walk on the beach right from the house. Who can ask for more.

    Beautiful Views

    This place has absolutely beautiful views! The kitchen is very well stocked, but does have a lot of expired condiments in the fridge, luckily we brought our own. The beds are comfortable as well. The hot tub seems new, but doesn’t maintain temperature. Each time we got in, the temperature would drop. After less than 30 minutes of use, it would be at 98 degrees. Something that needs to be addressed, we thought maybe it was on an energy saving mode. The kitchen had some ants, luckily bait was left. The grill has seen better days. It is missing a knob and the igniter button didn’t work. Check in was a bit of a hassle. We got here at 4 pm and the cleaners were still on site, cleaning. We ended up driving around and were finally able to check in at 4:40 but the clean job seemed rushed, and the place wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Regardless, it was a nice stay in a beautiful place, just a few things that could be improved .

    Amazing getaway spot

    We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and enjoyed our visit. The house was comfortable and very clean. We especially loved the views from the living and dining room -- perfect for just hanging out and relaxing while watching the waves and the sunset, and we took a few beach walks every day which was fantastic (very few people on the beach here). We had our 2 big dogs with us and the house accommodated them very well, too!

    Wonderful upstairs living room & location

    The house suited us just fine, 4 friends spending the wknd together. Fantastic location and beach access. It does need some work though-- basement smelled a little musty when we first got there but was fine after opening the house up. Windows need replacing.. upstairs bathroom could use some love. Overall we spent most of our time upstairs enjoying the view.

    Great Place

    This is an excellent place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The view and beach are amazing. The use of the fire pit and hot tub was a nice addition. They also included a small gift and chocolate by the bed. I would definitely stay here again.

    This beautifully appointed cottage sits directly on the ocean with a stunning view of the iconic Cape Meares sea stack. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, away from the crowds, this is a must for you. The oyster shacks and cheese tours in Tillamook are a must!! Will be coming back to this gem!!

    Beach Worthy Stay

    The house is exactly as advertised! The view was spectacular. Access to the beach was super easy. Added bonuses for us - the hot tub, the fire pit, the deck, the grill, and the large dining table. They had everything we needed to cook meals every night. (We grilled every night). Did I mention the hot tub?! The furniture in the living room and the mattresses (extra firm = hard) were not very comfy. The pillows are extra soft and thin. Even so, we would stay here again. The area is so lovely, the tucked away neighborhood peaceful, and the beach beautiful.

    Low Key and Restful - Just what we were needing.

    Enjoyed the house so much. The location was fantastic, as was view and access to the beach. Sunsets were awesome! It's a small and very quiet community without many amenities, which was fine by us. And my husband & I aren't TV watchers, so we didn't have TV subscription access for the most part. Lots of reading, guitar playing (husband brought his), walking, snoozing in the sun, domino playing and meal prep for some great BBQs. Our dog enjoyed it too. We'll for sure be coming back again.

    Great location

    It has a wonderful view, however it was hard to enjoy the outside deck with the construction going on next door. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. Upstairs was very noisy to anyone staying downstairs. We did not get to hot tub due to the workers right next door., I guess there is no way of knowing if there is a project going on next to the rental when you book it.
