We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! It was spacious, and offered great value for the price. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with easy day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, and Peggy's Cove.. We had a couple of questions during our stay, along with one minor issue, and the host responded quickly and resolved everything right away.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and affordable place to stay.

Very nice and updated cottage. Slept 8 comfortably. Washer and dryer were great. Lovely area, peaceful and quiet. The view one way is lovely, but blocked on the other side by an old building that is quite large. Didn’t really affect us at all and I think the price was very reasonable for the rest of the great view from the house.

Overall a great stay ! Would recommend as a good location for day tripping, easy access to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. We did full loop of lower island takes about 6 hours. Close to Grocery stores. Well stocked property with basics needed for cooking and more! Beds and pillows very comfortable. Quiet road and easy to find location. Recommended.

Beds were very comfortable. Lack of dressers made it difficult to put your clothes somewhere. Porch facing the ocean needs a step installed. Showers need a small rubber mat in them (very slippery). Super size kitchen and great ocean view on the patio

A previous review from 2025 sums it up well: "Stunning view (just look in the best direction away from the old lodge across the lane) comfy beds. Large kitchen and lots of living space, A few repairs would make it even greater however we had zero to really complain about. HOST communicated well, and nice touch .. fresh flowers"Our stay was awesome. A suggestion is that the owner should spend a few days staying here to realize that some repairs are needed. Both the deck and the house need painting, the old pots and pans need to be removed and replaced, the dishwasher should be anchored so that it does not tip over when trays are pulled out and the bathtub should be replaced as showing its age.

The house is an older seaside home. That being said although you can see many improvements there were a few very minor and manageable things like some windows did not have screens and at present no air conditioning. However owner did say it was coming soon. Inside of house was nice but cobwebs and some spiders and floors were not clean or maybe just tacky from humidity as no air. Grass could have been cut and weeds cut. Lots of mosquitoes but that is nature- bug spray helped with that one. Kitchen was stocked enough for what we needed as a party of four. Host was very quick to respond to any questions we had and apologized for no air. They are working on getting it perfect and it shows. The location is absolutely beautiful for view of water but there is an old ugly building next door- old fish cannery. We saw dolphins and a marlin jumped right in front of us. That was cool. Central to Peggy’s Cove, Luneburg, and Halifax which was great, Quiet and peaceful property!

Four Seniors

The Lodge is a nice place to spend a few days, lots of room, a great kitchen to prepare meals in, four bedrooms with comfortable beds, three bathrooms and a convenient location. We enjoyed our stay!

Great location

This was a great stay for our visit from far away. A clean, comfortable, well equipped house (and not too hard to find in the dark from the airport). A great location for adventures in any direction. Beautiful view.

Friends getaway.

The house is a lovely older home that has been very well renovated. Very quiet location and lovely ocean view. Plenty of room for the five adults that went.

Amazing Holiday Place

Our stay was great!! We loved the house and the ocean view. The deck was sunny and warm in the morning for breakfast. Would go back in a flash!!!

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at The Lodge. The ocean view and sunrises were awesome. The house was comfortable and had lots of room to hang out when we were not out checking out all the nearby attractions. Could maybe use a few more plates and cutlery along with dish towels which we could not find. All around a good first Vrbo experience.

Good stay

Property is nice. Pretty view on the sea, except the old building in front. Really good spot to see the stars at night, really calm. The washer machine and dryer should be change, the dryer is almost dangerous ! Overall, very good spot to relax !

Another Great Stay

Our 2nd time here and another great stay. Accommodations were great for 4 adults & 4 kids. Roomy, clean and the bathroom /shower facilities are very good. Beds are comfy as well. It is a pretty quiet area but close to the Bayswater beach. Lots of firewood available for campfires & water views are beautiful. Only complaint would be that a couple of bedroom windows don’t have screens. Otherwise another great stay.
