"Our ground floor room was a little loud but it’s a cute place 2 blocks to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and fun to see other guests. Very comfortable bed with fragrance free bed sheets 👍👍👍. Hosts here sweet and helpful. They need to open the front and back door at least once a day for a little while to “burp” the house as the air was a little stagnant inside."

"Our 5-day stay at the Kimpton Mirador was...fine. The biggest upside was that it allows for dogs of any size, so we weren't restricted by our 70lb dog. Overall, the building is very nice - well kept, lovely staff, nice room, etc. It's in a great location - close to the water as well as to the main street, and a 20ish minute walk from downtown Monterey. Where it lacked was the finer details. You're supposed to get champagne upon arrival, which the people in front of me were offered upon...

"We stayed in the King Cottage, and we loved it! The bed was comfortable, there was a desk, couch, fireplace, closet, and kitchenette. The restroom had a porcelain tub and was as spotless as was the rest of the cottage. The property was beautiful and the landscaping was breathtaking with all the variety of plants, flowers, and fountains. We could smell lavender all day! Management was friendly and helpful, and there were pastries, teas, coffee, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and cookies out to enjoy...

"We stayed in what they called the best room. The fact that they called it a cottage was a joke. It was a large room above the check in office. Every time someone closed the doors in the office it echoed through the room. Heat came from gas fireplace. Toilet was old and barely worked. Tiny refrigerator barely worked and temp adjustment was broken. Took at least 3 minutes to get hot water. Long tall stairway to "cottage" was rotted. "Besides the view from the 3rd floor the rooms were clean and very basic. The parking was the worst part especially in the garage since it was a bit of a headache to get back out of since it's a one direction parking structure with only one way back out."
