"My husband and I stayed at Bayside Mackinaw City for two nights. The staff was very friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. The property was very very clean and seemed to be in good condition. We didn't use the pool or hot tub so I am unable to provide feedback on them. Check in was a breeze, and check out was just as quick and easy. Housekeeping was wonderful and made sure we had plenty of towels and soap/shampoo and conditioner. "This motel is so outdated, dirty and kinda gross. The only positive it had was the location. The lock on our door seemed super weak and unsafe (I wouldn’t stay there as a single female traveler, beware) and the outlets didn’t work. The bed was super uncomfortable and smelled like beef jerky. I don’t want to know why. A lot of things inside the room didn’t seem to work. Lights flickered a lot. Carpet was sticky. Our room had an overpowering mold smell."

"This hotel was recently purchased by the owners of the other hotels in immediate vicinity, and it was in the process of being repainted and renovated. The room we stayed in was pretty clean and had what we needed, but it was definitely outdated. I know they are in the process of doing that. Unfortunately, due to the renovations, they did not offer breakfast, but they did give us buy one get one free coupons for a local restaurant. We were satisfied with our stay."
