It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. "We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive. "Vi bodde här i tio dagar och hade det helt fantastiskt. Hit åker man för lugn och ro, närhet till naturen och avslappning vid poolen. Ändå är det relativt nära till många utflyktsmål. Vi besökte nationalparkerna Yala och Udawalawe. Vi besökte bergsstaden Ella med sina teplantager och vi åkte till Mirissa för bad och valskådning. Boendet hjälper till med alla bokningar om man vill. "A beautiful setting directly on Tissa lake. The lobby opens out straight onto the garden and pool. Our room had opening sliding doors allowing an unhindered views of the lake. Hundreds of birds coming and going and there is an amazing twilight sight as the fruit bats leave the island for the night. Nice local area and an easy walk along the lakeside into town for the night. Food and service was great."
