"Our first time in Chester and a 4 night stay in the Boathouse turned out to be a great choice. The location of the Boathouse is truly wonderful, with great accommodation, restaurant and bar and special thanks to Amelia who was so helpful in providing us her local knowledge. Highly recommended."

Booking in was straight forward enough but they wanted a payment card handed over so that they could make all the entries instead of putting a card through a card reader. "Basic hotel. Clean and comfy but tired looking and tiny rooms. I had a double room for one person - glad I didn’t have to share!"

"Great location. The room was nice, if a little warm, the A/C wasn’t very powerful and our fridge didn’t work. However the room was very clean and had a nice feel to it. The hotel in general had quirky decor which was interesting to look at. The breakfast was ok, but we were disappointed there wasn’t any cereal, pastries and other help yourself items. The staff very very friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay."
