"Overall nice place. People working there seemed very nice. Wife wanted a tv to watch as she usually does in the evening. Breakfast was not cooked or served. They put bacon and eggs in refrigerators but you could not cook inside. Outside cooking availability. Seemed a bit overpriced for one night. Cleaning fee of 85.00 seemed extreme since we left it as when we arrived. Doubt if we will return."

"We just wanted a quick night away from the hustle and we enjoyed driving a mere 20 miles out of town for this hidden paradise. The stargazer cabin was perfect. Clean, cozy, and the outside scenery complete with hot tub, horses, and gorgeous landscape was the icing on the cake. Everything was clean, check- in was a breeze, and we had no “wants”. My only note is that this cabin is a little too close to some of the other buildings on the property so it didn’t feel as private as I anticipated , that...

"The house was lovely, the yard needed mowing badly. Was disappointed the yard was not fenced. We thought a pet friendly property would have a fenced yard. The neighborhood was awful. We tried to not go out at night. Neighbors had large groups of people outside almost all the time they played loud vulgar music. The yard had little cockle burrs bad. They got into our little 6 pound senior dogs fur so bad we had to take him to the animal er to get them out on Saturday."

"We had a great stay at Captain's Cabin. We were looking for a place on Sabine Lake that had great access to our favorite fishing spots and Captain's Cabin suited our needs perfectly. The house and yard were very clean and well appointed. There was ample room for parking and the area is safe and extremely quiet. David, the property owner ,was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Captain's Cabin to anyone. "

"We wanted a nice place centric to museums, great Cajun food, and natural areas to explore, this VRBO did not disappoint. Heidi is a great host, very communicative with a cozy home that includes all the amenities you need to hang out in or revitalize after a day of local fun. Would definitely keep in mind for future relaxation or exploration. "
