"The place is very hospitable. It was our favorite part of our trip. Fishing and enjoying the paddle boat. The cottage is beautiful. It’s like staying in a magazine cover. Very comfortable!!"

"We are quite familiar with Lake Sara and the area the house was located so easy to find. It is a wonderful house and property. The owners were very responsive to all questions and concerns. There was a severe rainstorm one day with a power outage but a simple fix with the owner's help was all that was needed. "

"It would be better if the tv in the guest bedroom worked. We were never able to get it to stay on."

"We stayed here over the 4th of July! It was in a great location in the heart of Effingham right above a great little speakeasy and just a couple blocks from Joe Sippers for morning coffee. It looked exactly like the pictures — a big bright, open loft in a historic building that somehow still managed to feel modern and cozy. It’s one of those places that feels like being at home even though you’re away, especially with a well appointed kitchen with all the basic utensils and supplies for cooking....
