"I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!! Two dislikes Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use. "Attended a wedding, food was amazing, staff very attentive, check in easy, it was so relaxing, what a lovely place, only one quibble i found the mattress uncomfortable so woudnt stay no more than a couple of nights, but the pillows where soft and comfy...Oh the tree Well done everyone!!!!"

"Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay."

"First time at this hotel, staying for one night. A quick visit to Tiverton on the way home from a few days in Bideford to see the Grand Western Canal and assess the potential for a future longer visit. Overall, facilities, food and staff excellent, decor a little tired. Free parking on site a major advantage. Room comfortable, but no USB ports provided to charge phones etc. However, will definitely consider coming back at a later date. "

"Our room was spacious and gorgeous. The bed was really comfortable and big! We were in a Premium King Room. The bathroom was large but it did also smell quite badly of damp. The only negative was the car parking. None available on site and not able to drive up to hotel so we had to bring all our luggage from a neighbouring public car park. Unfortunately the lift wasn't working at the car park so we had to carry 3 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. Parking was 18 British pounds per day, pay and...
