A lovely property, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Everything you can possibly need is there, and the on-site hosts are the nicest people you can meet. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Tanya and Chris were very welcoming and extremely helpful in assisting us in such bad weather on our arrival. We found the accommodation very well appointed with everything that one would need for a stay of any length.

Very well kept, equipped property

Spent a week here, reasonably good location to tour around Somerset. Hosts were very helpful and experienced. Would thoroughly recommend and would stay again if re-visiting Somerset/Dorset

Mooie locatie in het buitengebied. De ruime woning is goed voorzien van meubilair en de keuken is compleet. Bijzonder hartelijke ontvangst door de eigenaren.

Wonderful cozy accommodations

We loved staying in the English countryside. Tanya and Chris are wonderful hosts and very responsive and accommodating. Very clean, spacious and everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Happy holiday

Ideally placed for visiting Stonehenge, Salisbury, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury etc all in less than an hour. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of space.

The Byre Lois Farm

Our hosts, Tanya and Chris, made us feel very welcome over the whole stay. The rooms in the barn are very generous in size and the facilities are outstanding. If you are looking for a quiet rural retreat in beautiful Somerset, this is the place for you.

Very happy stay

Our second stay; and we'll be back. Extremely relaxing. Very friendly hosts. Well equipped throughout. Got out and about - even during very hot weather, but happy to get back to the cool, peace and tranquility of The Byre.

Cozy and relaxing starting point for adventures in south england

The beautifully renovated barn is cozy and it only takes minutes to feel yourself at home. The area is calm so the holiday home is the ideal place for both having a lazy day or start explorations of the beautiful landscape, towns, gardens and historical locations in Devon, Somerset and so on. Food-Shops are only minutes away and last but not least Tanya and Chris are the most friendly and helpful hosts one could imagine. Thanks for a perfect vacation :-)

Peaceful retreat

Super sized bedroom and living space. Very clean and well appointed. Private patio for quiet moments. Just the sounds of the sheep and birds. Great local pub (Stapleton Arms) only 5 mins in car.

Very enjoyable!

We had a fantastic week at Lois Barn! The cottage was very clean, everything you need was there and the bed was incredible! The horse and pony outside were very enjoyable and loved the attention. The front yard of the cottage is shared with another cottage, so it's not completely private.

Perfect Rest

If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy perfect solitude in peaceful surroundings with sheep as your only neighbors this lovely cottage is perfect. It is very well equipped with lovely furniture and all gadgets you want. The only thing we missed was an umbrella or sunshade on the terrace because we had really hot and sunny weather. Eine tolle Begrüßung, die Vermieter waren jederzeit vor Ort Ansprechbar und hatten auch verschiedenste Reisetipps parat. Das Ferienhaus ist geräumig und hat alles was man braucht. Auch für die Selbstversorgung ist alles in der Küche vorhanden. Sogar eine Tischtennisplatte ist in einem großen Nebengebäude vorhanden. Es ist zwar etwas abgelegen, aber dafür mittig vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bath, die Jurassic Cost, sind in etwa 1 Stunde erreichbar. Wells, Cheddar Gorge and Caves und Clarks Village sind noch dichter. Sherborne Castle und das Montecute House sind fast um die Ecke. Zum nächsten großen Supermarkt und Lidl sind es 4km. Wir würden es wieder nehmen! Vielen Dank.

Herzlich, einladend und wunderbar ruhig

Geschmackvoll, großzügig und mit allem, was man sich wünscht ausgestattete Wohnung mit einem tollen Ausblick von der Terrasse. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Gut gelegen und auch für Kinder sehr gut geeignet.

Relaxing holiday

A lovely place for a relaxing holiday, just about everything you need it was spotless with a comfy sofa and good comfy bed. Although there is a smart tv we still like a Blue ray player which we had taken just in case there isn’t one on site. We lost hot water but it was fixed within 1/2 hr of reporting it. Tanya was very nice and a good host.

Super nice place

The Byre is a very lovely cottage, set in a very nice place, with perfect views over the fields. Waking up with only the sound of the birds and sometimes a sheep. Tanya and Chris are very lovely people who give you a very warm welcome, and are there if you need them. The cottage is very clean, and the welcome gifts are a nice touch. We will hope to visit again soon. Thank you Tanya and Chris for the lovely stay.. Peter and Astrid
