"The property is located right on the main street and therefore was a bit loud. The room was quite warm and with the windows open, the next door live music from The Wild Hare charmed us well into the early hours of the morning. Some might not like that "vibe". The staff was excellent. We were on our own when it came to parking and had to park almost a mile away from the property and get creative in managing bags to the room."

"Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. "The Briers is a beautiful property hosted by Darren, a precious man. He asked after our trip, have recommendations based on what we liked, suggested places that he and his family have enjoyed and was a delight to talk to. "Great find. We only stayed 1 night. When and if we’re the area again I will definitely stay again. Only recommendation I would make as we arrived when getting dark, a bit more signage on the roadside to make it easier to locate. Other than that we’ve no complaints. Pod was first class, stylish modern and very clean."
