"This is such a unique and beautiful cottage. The cottage is spacious, charming, and beautifully presented. All the extras the host provided (soft drinks, milk, coffee, bread, etc.) were a lovely touch and made the experience even more special. "Our group felt so cozy and homey at Fantail cottage while we explored nearby Hamilton and Hobbiton. Fiona was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped and the provided milk, coffee, hot chocolate, and cereals was a nice touch. Everyones favorite part is that the shower was hot with really good water pressure! We also really enjoyed the chickens (chooks) and they seemed to like our food scraps just as much. Thank you for a lovely stay :)"

"I spent 11 nights here working as a digital nomad. The place was clean and looked great. "Overall the property was fantastic. Everything was clean, everything worked in the home. The only A/C unit is on the ground floor. All of the bedrooms are upstairs. When we arrived all of the curtains were open and no windows were open. The upstairs was over 27*C. It took several hours with windows open to cool the property. If you're not staying in the middle of summer, or if heat doesn't bother you this wouldn't be an issue for you. I would stay here again."

"Beware, water pressure was very poor and temperature was lukewarm. It made a difference for 3 adults trying to shower at 5.30am. There is no insulation and the railway is nearby. It felt like we were sleeping in a tent next to the train tracks, so not good for light sleepers. Comi g fro. Someone who lives next to an airport.
